Can't wait for the Monday morning talk shows.

Can't wait for the Cowboy fans to say wait til Week 3, it was just preseason. It is, but they didn't show anything to anyone.

Pretty interesting that the two top Texans running backs going into the season could be both undrafted free agents from 2009 in Arian Foster and Jeremiah Johnson. Slaton had a minor injury tonight and really hasn't showed anything in the preseason. I really like what I saw from Johnson tonight. I was a big fan of him in college as well.

I didn't watch the whole game, but I watched most of the first half. And I didn't see any draws and only a couple of screens. On the screens that I saw, our D-Line certainly got too far downfield to be effective, but our linebackers seemed to play it well enough. Dallas got yardage, but didn't break any big plays.

we did ok against the draw, don't remember many screens.

the major positive about this game is that we will see all these highlights again the week before we play the cowboys...possibly with some loud music mixed in.

Just checked out the replay and have a few observations.

-Amobi looked good, very active. I hope this is what we get from him this year.

-The D-Line in general looked nice, Mario seemed to be spending a lot of time in the backfield. I think this may be one of his best years.

-How about that hitting from Pollard? Love that guy, we really lucked out with him.

-I thought the corners played well. Kareem messed up coverage in one or two short passes, but made up for it with the heads up pick. Also though at least one of the flags on Quin was very suspect.

-On offense, what else can be said about Arian. I hope Kubiak uses him wisely and he can be effective all year. It looks like we have options with Johnson and Slaton to spell him.

-Jacoby got a lot of looks. He may start at number two, but I think he'll have a big year. Good to see him finally getting it.

-Matt looked a little off. Not bad, but some of his throws weren't as accurate as they normally are. I don't know if it was the coverage and him just getting rid of it, but I'm not worried about it.

-We also need to get better in the red zone. The hold near the goal line early on was a big part of being unsuccessful, but I'd like to see them score as easy as they get downfield. I imagine a run game will help that though.

In short, how 'bout dem TEXANS!!!

In an interview on radio this week the team reporter for The Ft. Worth Star Telegram said she thought the Cowboys would come out flat because they are a very tired football team with the extra week and all the travel.

The Texans seemed to come out like this was there first playoff game. I don't want to imply anything negative by that except it is a very long season in the NFL and they could have pushed to hard too early; or, they may be setting a tone and swagger that will keep them confident in the tough first part of the schedule. We will see ... but Indy is having some injury problems, beat them and we might steam roll.

By they way the Ft. Worth reporter also felt like the Texans would get the win against the Cowboys in the regular season too, mostly because of the home field advantage.

    That crowd was rabid.

Like I said, I don't care how he plays in the preseason, when the game is on the line myself as a fan and more importantly, his teammates DO NOT TRUST him. It will be a huge mistake keeping him around

Had a blast at the game. Lucked into club level tickets. Texans put a hurting on them. That run D was sick. Matt looked rusty, but almost everything else was either acceptable or good from all the other units. Happy Donny is happy.

Have they figured out an excuse for every regular season game yet?

Sometimes you gotta show you can make some heads roll. After NO last week, this was a 'prove something' game.

Idea is good...execution is poor. I'd like to think we fans could come up with something that doesn't have such negative connotations.

Well, they can try and spin this all they want but the Cowboys haven't looked good at all this preseason and the "tired" excuse won't wash. They aren't even doing the basic things like blocking and tackling at all nor have they run the ball effectively at all. Also, Wade is having another Camp Cupcake so they aren't being overworked at all while the Texans are hitting in pads every day. They have"t looked good dating back to the playoff game at Minnesota and what you saw last night was a continuation of what happened in that game. Should this continue in the Washington game (and there's nothing to suggest that it won't), the bleatings of the Cowsheep will reach epic levels.

BTW, Jerry Jones said that he's only cried twice after a Cowboy loss. One was after the playoff loss in San Francisco and the other time was the 2002 loss to the Texans.

Where did you read that his teammates don't trust him? He's been money for us ever since we started, save for last season. I say we give him another shot. I don't know why Rackers was cut from the Cardinals, but it surely isn't because he had an amazing season last year.

The thing is, I think most could stand losing a game from a Rackers miss FG. But, if Brown misses another potential game winning/tying field goal, we would all feel like ****.

And for those trying to say that Brown has been great for the Texans the previous seven seasons, you have to remember we sucked during those seven seasons, when the pressure is on (playoffs, etc.) Brown sucks. It's why he got kicked off of the Steelers.

dude its preseason. break it down all you want. for instance the 3 superbowl wins the cowboys had in the 90s i dont think they won a single preseason game those seasons. im pretty sure people dont bring up the fact that aikman has 3 superbowl wins but he sure did suck in the preseason.

so take it with a grain of salt. if the cowboys win and do well this season they will, if they suck they suck. but preseason W/L RECORD wont have much at all to do with it in my opinion.

Jerry Jones is running the Cowboys into the ground and Phillips is a pushover. Phillips looks like a bozo out there and is going to endure yet another year of people speculating about his firing.

It's just not good when the owner meddles and makes significant player decisions. What is Jerry doing in the draft room acting like he's an expert scout?

Tony Romo is hopeless as well. Watching him, you're just waiting for the next blooper. So sad that he had to throw his runningback under the bus. How about not tossing him the ball when he's clearly not expecting it?

would you trust him as a teammate after single handedly losing a couple games last season. When the game is on the line, Brown has NEVER been good.
