If a Yankee player hit it like that it would have been a HR

he constantly makes the pitcher works but either K's or hits into hard contact that results in an out.

i haven't checked the advanced stats but i feel like bregman is due for some positive variance - but with so little at-bats left... idk

This Astros team is just a mystery. The Dodgers are NOT an unstoppable force. Not even Kershaw is an unstoppable force. But the other World Series team will probably score at least one, maybe even more than one run in a game. The Astros were putting up per-game run numbers rivaling the 30s Yankees earlier in the season. One might expect that to taper off a bit and then be cut down even more facing playoff teams, but down to almost nothing?

Some of these decisions Hinch makes feel almost like he's making them because he's already conceded that the bats are not going to show up on a particular night. If they do, great, but he's conserving pitchers for games 6 and 7. I don't even know. Maybe only Verlander has any ability to spark this team into action. Maybe Hinch is accepting that.

    Ugh, so weird.
