You definitely root for the Yankees tonight because you want Cleveland to use all their best pitching prior to the ALCS. Kluber starting game 5 makes him unavailable for games one and 2. Bauer is unlikely to pitch again till game 2... as he didn't look all that great on 3 days rest today. And if Cleveland ends up losing to the Yankees, all the above reasons make plenty of sense... other than the one-sided media love-fest that will permeate around Aaron Judge.
Kluber...which is perfect for us. Worst case, Cleveland wins but can’t use Bauer until game 2 and Kluber until game 3. Best case, Yanks win and we get home field for the ALCS.
These are both best case. Yankees still have to win this game though... Indians won't go down this easily.
To think, the Yanks should be playing to win the series tonight. Blowing that big lead in Game 2 is huge.
Out of 299 series in MLB history.. no team has ever lost two games after having a 5-run lead. Yankees on deck.....
Happy for the veterans like McCann, Beltran, and Verlander who came and joined this team - you can tell they have enjoyed playing with all these young guys and it shows how close this team actually is with one another.
Carlos Corrasco in game 1 is still scary. The big benefit is avoiding Kluber getting 2 starts with the chance to pitch in 3 games. Now you only see Kluber a 2nd time in game 7 or short rest in 6. Still hope the Yankees pull off the upset.
Still don’t care who we play next but I’ll be a big Yankees fan tonight. Anything to extend that series is good for the Astros.
i want yankees because of homefield advantage but when it comes to who's the better baseball team... they are both tough imo yeah the indians are definitely the more accomplished team, but the yankees are no joke. wouldn't sleep on 'em
Yeah both teams are real threats. I guess if I had to pick one I’d go with Cleveland just to not have to hear about Judge for a whole series. But home field would be nice too. I’m just glad we’re able to talk about it.
