I like him on this roster and have defended him over the years. I wouldn't mind him being someone coming in with runners on to try and induce a weak grounder, with a K possibility. But him (or Harris IMO) closing in the playoffs is a scary thought. Please, no.

I grew up with the Astros during the Dome days. I love this team more than any other Houston franchise. This incarnation in particular is my favorite ever. Do I get emotional during bad games? Many fans do. It's part of the fun.

Of the 40 or so players on this roster I have perhaps knocked 3 all year (McCullers, Keuchel, Marisnick). Does that make me a hater? Walking batters with the bases loaded repeatedly is a sign of mental midgetry and I made a comment about it weeks ago. So? Just because Keuchel had a great game last night doesn't preclude him from all criticism, or necessitate fishing for old posts about him that were negative and saying "told you so!". I think you are smart enough to know how fallacious that kind of reasoning is. I certainly wouldn't quote any of the posts here today if Keuchel has a horrendous game down the road (and it will happen).

If you don't like my cutthroat style then put me on ignore. I'm an angry fan and that's that. I'll still skewer other teams more than ours at the end of the day.

No, you're right- shoot, even I don't know some of our pitchers' go-to pitches. My son is a baseball junkie and he's constantly razzing me b/c I can't tell a 2-seam from a 4-seam fastball and stuff like that. I just respond with dumb comments like, "I don't care if it's 2, 4, or 10-seam, as long as he makes the batter look foolish, it's all good."

Well stated, and thus I apologize. Really, we should all just let people communicate in their own style and mind our own business sometimes- I stand corrected.

If you want to learn without feeling like you're learning, play a baseball video game (from the last ~10 years). Choose your pitches and watch the movement. You'll start to understand a lot fairly quickly

Thought Hinch would switch it up with Gattis today but I guess he's going to stay with Beltran vs. righties

Yes, that's what my son did. I still can't hear that song "Magic Carpet Ride" any more w/o thinking of the MLB game he played for hours on end.

I'm ridiculously old school. If it doesn't say Asteroids, Missile Command, Tempest, or Dig Dug, or any other game you can play on an Atari 2600, I probably won't play it.
