Yeah, if only Rudy hadn't "ran into Washington's punch". Sucks when guys do that.

For this decade(2000+).... Grant Hill. He was on his way to possibly being the greatest SF of all time. Ended up being constantly plagued with injuries. Missed out playing in his prime, and with a prime TMAC... which would have easily contended for titles. Left the Magic for a "contender" in the Suns, and now look to be swept in the 1st round by the Spurs, unlike the Magic who look set to go to the 2nd round. Pretty sad.

TMAC. He is not only unlucky himself but also bring bad lucks to his teammate. First is Grant Hill and now Ming Yao.

Also I remember the first year the first round changes to 7 game seriers, he went up 3-1 and lost. If it was one year earlier, then he has past the first round.

Then first year the nba changes rules to give division winner top 3 seeds, we draw Dallas and lost the series.
One year later, the rules changes and we would have played Sonics with the new rules.

    Anyway,

You might have a point. But Grant Hill is bad luck and just as contagious and Juwan Howard. Maybe even worse.
Two of Hills former teammates - Bison Dele and Malik Sealy.
He goes to the Suns who had major title expectations and they might be handed the broom in the 1st round.

But then again, its not really noticed since Hill didn't play in 03/04, but T-Mac had both Hill and Howard as teammates. Yikes
