Not so much offensively, but he always impresses me on the defensive end with correct rotation and hustling for the ball with his limited minutes. He can also hit the 3 at a reliable rate and can finish at the rim consistently. Not sure why he doesn't see much time on the court compared to Garcia and Delfino.
I agree that Anderson deserves a chance, but first I want coach to run some freaking plays for Garcia before I say he has failed. In the limited minutes he was forcing things because nobody was setting screens so he couldn't get a spot up shot. He had to create for himself which is not his forte.
Man so true on both. Delfino is looking like Luther Head out there. Just doesn't seem comfortable shooting at all the past two games. I think things change tonight for Delfino though. He's too good, and smart of a player. Sometimes shots don't drop, and the past two games MANY shots have not dropped. The stat from last game was between both teams 49 3 pointers MISSED! That's crazy! So ya, I agree, but let's at least hope that Delfino steps it up. Garcia should def. be replaced with someone like Anderson. (McHale might not have been comfortable with Anderson though during the first two games, as he was trying out rotations, and then changed in game 2, and then the Lin injury to start the 2nd half.) GO ROCKETS!
I'm with you on this, OP. I think he would have a big impact in the playoffs. He reminds of one of those guys, like Beverley, that can really elevate his game when it matters.
Agreed that he deserves some burn if Delfino continues to struggle with his shot. A three point specialist that's shooting sub-30% from downtown isn't going to cut it.
