How about sucking some head at Zydeco diner? if anyone says it's not unique, i will try to get out more
what do you mean by "unique"... unique food, unique atmosphere? there's a new place on montrose (or right in that area) called Feast that is supposed to have very unique food... check it out.
I live in the spring branch area and I've eaten a couple of times at these places. they're hit or miss, plus you really need to go with someone who knows what they're doing
My friend, Richard Knight, is the chef at Feast. I ate there last week. If the weather is nice, try to get the balcony. The food is good and you definitely won't leave hungry. http://feasthouston.googlepages.com/home
If i had to take out of town friends to a restaurant in Houston I would probably go to Churrascos. Its good reasonably affordable food in a good environment. Plus Houston owned.
imo, Nippon used to be the most authentic Sushi in Houston.......at least that was back in the day....don't know about any new restaurants there now....
Hispanic? Pos, sabesque, I think it's effin' expensive, carnal. xcharged, memmer? We got jacked there, bro'.
Damn. I get confused. But we did eat, yes yes? hey, the guy asked for "Unique" restaurants... I think we're suggesting "places to eat." Let's do THAT thread.
ohh churrassco's, yeah we cheated out of some money. turns out when the waiter says "si, es open bar" he really means the bar is open. damn wedding receptions
2 places... Monument Inn is nice great food and you can sit by the window and watch huge cargo ships go down the ship channel... One of the most unique views around... Also Outriggers in Seabrook.. really laid back seafood joint directly under the Kemah-Seabrook Bridge.... Laid back cheap beer people dock fishing boats, million dollar yachts up to the building and come eat... if you sit out on the balcony you can see all the sailboats and such leaving Clear Lake... all this without the commercialation of Kehah.. did i mention cheap?
