    Behad, a couple of things.

    1. Your own quote -- your own very words -- have sank your battleship in this thread. Even in this liberal-pro-union-dominated board, you are struggling to find support. You said in your own words that you didn't do squat on the job. You said it, friendo. Ouch. Totally destroys your position to argue on the topic. No cred.

    2. Your post per day statistic counter-argument is a flawed attempt at making the case that you are less lazy than others. It's a weak argument. Here's why:

    a) It takes you much longer than an intelligent person to crank out a post. For instance, I can throw together thoughtful, insightful posts in less than a minute. With your union mindset, a similar post would likely take you 20 minutes. So you likely spend more time and produce less posts. Similar to your on-the-job productivity, no doubt.
    b) Second, how else are you using your 'free time' at work? If a heavy poster uses 100% of his free time at work on posting, he could use much less free time than you, who probably uses other parts of your free time on walking around the office, taking a dump, going on a smoke break, checking your credit card overdue balance, looking at pictures of naked girls, etc.
    c) Are you only posting on work hours?
    d) What other boards do you post on? -- is CC.net a small %?

There are simply too many flaws in your argument. Certainly there are waaaaay too many flaws to dig yourself out of the grave that you dug by your own words.

Refman is always a uniter for the BBS, finding common ground, and here is the common ground of the thread.

If Behad has to monitor control panels for enormously long shifts, I don't at all see how it makes him lazy to surf the net.

In graduate school, I routinely had 12-24 hour shifts monitoring an experiment. Every 20 minutes I would have to slightly shift a valve, check a cryogen level, turn on a little heating element. But in between those alterations? ... There was not really an opportunity to be productive or start new experiments or write grants, or any such thing.

Ridiculous to use his ancient quote in a thread about unions, though I see the humor in it.

It would be nice if the twins would admit they would favor a 1900 picture of labor in the United States. They would certainly profit from it.

    Wow. Just wow.

Is the above an example of one of your thoughtful, insightful posts? My little tiny brain just cannot comprehend it.

Seriously, you and your brother simply would not believe the level of amusement y'all bring to my day. I need to ask a question, and I truly want a serious, honest answer...Do you actually believe in the words you are posting? Is this really how you feel? You don't have to answer here, you can email me. I can keep a secret.

But if the above post is a representative sample of how you live your life, you should seek professional help. And stay away from my part of town. I don't want to get caught in the crossfire when you finally go over the edge.

To the rest of the board....Anybody know these clowns personally? Is this all an act? FattyFatBastard, you told me once you met the twins in person. Tell me this is all an internet act.

Finally, I just cannot end a discussion with the trader_idiot without once again posting his acting debut in the comic strip Dilbert:
    <a href="http://dilbert.com/strips/comic/2004-06-11/" title="Dilbert.com"><img src="http://dilbert.com/dyn/str_strip/000000000/00000000/0000000/000000/00000/0000/500/528/528.strip.gif" border="0" alt="Dilbert.com" /></a>

Very interesting. I seem to recall a thread about the GOP in Michigan that could use this type of thoughtful, in-depth analysis.

Guy just standing around at his boring job, waiting for the action to happen instead of proactively seeking an occupation where he's involved in continuous duties start to finish.

    LAZY

Avoiding all the ugliness of this thread....

I'm here at work now. Nothing new to report. I'll post when I can, but I will be busy from 9-midnight. If I don't post something soon after midnight, then expect the worse.

    Updates as I get them

Extension granted. 24 hour rolling extension. No strike tonight, but no settlement yet.

    Thanks for the update, behad.

But you know, if you ever want a real job, you should become, like, an energy trader. Nonstop work, manipulating markets and sending entire states into darkness for a few dollars. Then you wouldn't be lazy. Just watch the Enron documentary!

Say no to hate. Does anyone ignore basso or bigtexxx?

Behad, you did post it yourself that you didn't do much at work, even if your job doesn't require much. I don't think you can turn around and claim that you are necessarily a hard worker.

Truth be told, union and non-union employees have plenty of slackers between them. Not one person in here that posts while at work every few minutes can't claim that they aren't somewhat lazy at their job. I wonder just how much this one BBS costs employers in terms of productivity.

actually...and Im not sure if Behad actually "talked" to TJ, but he has met him.

(losing that memory Behad? ;) )

I dont believe I exchanged more than a Hey to him personally, but I have talked to folks that were talking to him at heyp's and they said he seemed totally different than the TJ character.

I never thought there was any doubt....he is the second longest running joke on this board....right behind LHutz.

Wasn't T_J actually one of the guests at Behad's barbecue? I think I remember I saw the pictures.

Nope. He was invited repeatedly so we could go one-on-one on the basketball court, but he couldn't handle it.

Right - I confused the two. I think I saw Manny and T_J in one picture. By the way, where is Manny?
