I wonder how some people in here feel about the taste of the standard Carthaginian cuisine from approx. 300 B..C. (E.). Too spicey? imma? T-J? Any thoughts?
I thought it was established that this is NOT a documentary, even from Moore himself. The definition alone rules out this movie as a documentary. 1. documentary, docudrama, documentary film, infotainment -- (a film or TV program presenting the facts about a person or event)
It's a convenient label, sor to flike the pop categories at the grammy awards. Regardless of what you call it, people are going to see it... Santa Fe and Albuquerque theaters were packed last night.
That does leave off the IMAX documentaries. Some of those have grossed well over $120 million. But I don't think it will have any problem breaking the regular "documentary" record gross this weekend and this one will probably more than double Bowling for Columbine.

It is the most expensive documentary ever produced. It , by far, the highest P&A of any previous documentary, and it has, by really far, the widest release of any documentary in history. It really is impossible to compare it to any other documentary.
Yeah, Moore's too fat, Gore's too loud, Dean's crazy, Kerry's rich, Chelsea's ugly, Hillary's a b****, Clinton likes to ****... And everyone who quits the White House and criticizes Bush is disgruntled. Do you guys ever argue the merits?
Gore's given a series of the most thoughtful, and damning, speeches of this political season and all they can say is he screamed. This is hardly surprising.
Batman: Don't you agree that Moore's really just the Left's Rush? I just don't see how he's taken so seriously. Even if i probably agree with his politics -- i find his work frustratingly shallow.
He's rapidly letting himself get turned into it, with an assist from the chorus of right wing whiners. He does have a bit of artistic talent in his mediaum that Rush lacks however. He's a lot more comedically talented and he still is capable of capturing some fairly powerful sequences on film, even if a lot of his films now consist of various skits.
