I read it, and I failed to find a single "lie". Perhaps you can point them out to me.:)

then he's missed his mark. from denby's review above: "Michael Moore has become a sensational entertainer of the already converted, but his enduring problem as a political artist is that he has never known how to change anyone’s politics."

Moore's work typically consists of manipulative editing, contradictions, outlandish theories, etc. But you're right...at least he doesn't tell outright lies!

I liken Moore's work to heaving loads and loads of **** against a wall and hoping some of it sticks. Of course, Moore's target audience will eat that **** up regardless, so it doesn't really matter where any of it lands.

    We'll see.

With Bowling for Columbine doing $21 million total domestic gross, dedicating 60% of your screens to the follow-up is a risky strategy anywhere.

I honestly don't see Plano residents going to see it in very large numbers, certainly not high enough numbers to justify turning over 60% of a theater's screens to it.

I guarantee you that hardly any conservatives would go watch this hatchet piece disguised as a documentary. I could name a list a mile long of things I'd rather do than sit through a couple of hours of left-wing propaganda. Like perhaps watching paint dry or grass grow.

And RMT, if you believe that everything Moore says is true, you are in serious trouble, because much of his writings and "documentaries" have serious factual flaws. Well, at least you are honest who and what you are.

Just so you know, Moore has said more than once that this movie (and others) is not a documentary, that it is more like an op-ed piece. It is a polemic.

Now don't you feel better informed?

After about 5 minutes of concentration, I finally got my head to advance to the chorus of the song (which starts right after the trailer ends). One Google search later, I found it:

"I'd Love to Change the World" by Ten Years After.

Independents, will see it because they are just curious. They will take it with a grain of salt. But don't act like independents will avoid this film like some "lunatic fringe" conservatives will.

The reason that fence sitters will not mind seeing this film is because it wont "annoy" them like it would a staunch "we can do no wrong" conservative. It's just a movie. Take it or leave it. We'll make that decision.

Pssst...and yes, I've seen the "Left Behind" series too.

I'm surprised as well, mrpaige. It's showing at 7 screens in Austin, with 3 of those at art houses. Not nearly the exposure you're seeing there, all things considered, and Austin is the most liberal city in Texas.

Great find, Kimble14. They were a great band back in the day, in the parlance of our times. Put on a hell of a live show.

Deckard you continue to amaze me with the bands you've seen.

    We are not worthy!

I don't know that I was worthy, just lucky to be the right age at the right time. ;)
Believe me, I wish I was that age again! I saw Ten Years After 3 or 4 times, easy. They were also one of the bands that played the Dallas Pop Festival in '69.

Well I just downloaded it, it's a badass song.

    Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity
Tax the rich, feed the poor
Till there are no rich no more?

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

    Population keeps on breeding
Nation bleeding, still more feeding economy
Life is funny, skies are sunny
Bees make honey, who needs money, Monopoly

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

    World pollution, there's no solution
    Institution, electrocution
Just black and white, rich or poor
Them and us, stop the war

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

Here is another badass underground song I got exclusively from the big jolly one himself!....that's right Micheal Moore can sing!

I know you are unworthy to read or even hear this mc mark, but enjoy...

    Everywhere is liberal freaks, hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is Hannity and Colmes?
Work and make money, or don't work and be so poor,
Till there is no choic no more

I'd love to lie to the world
and I do know what to do
So I'll show you a politically motivated and lying movie, and leave it full of it for you

Population knows I like lying, distorting, and misleading
Nation is still believing I keep feeding at the buffet to help the economy
My lies is funny, I make money
Bees make honey, I needs money, Monopoly

I'd love to lie to the world
and I doknow what to do
So I'll show you a politically motivated and lying movie, and leave it full of it for you

World pollution, Here is no solution from me...
Should I go to an Institution, or suffer electrocution
The issue ain't black and white, right or wrong
Let's not hurt them, if they hurt and kill us, so stop the war

I'd love to lie to the world
and I do know what to do
So I'll show you a politically motivated and lying movie, and leave it full of it for you
