let me be clear for the OWS (Obtuse Wanking Socialist) crowd, if these numbers meant more people were working, they'd be great news. they don't mean that (at least to any significant degree.) further, this is for november, so includes seasonal hires; no doubt we'll see a similar "drop" for december. let's see what january, february look like before we get too excited. lastly, these numbers are typically revised upwards later in the month, something i'd expect to see drop with the 12/23 full lid.
spoilered for the large graph, but here's a contrast between where Obama promised we'd be, and where we actually are: Spoiler source. data source. link is a PDF.
Liberals are excited about 8.6% unemployment? The new norm I guess. 'last remaining talking point'? food prices are up, gas prices are up, healthcare costs are up, GDP is in the toilet, unemployment is way up, inflation is up, average income is down, the misery index is up. One could go on and on and this is while Obama has increased the deficit by more than 4 trillion dollars in 3 less than years. None of these numbers are expected to get better any time in the future btw. It is not like Obama has ideas to fix these problems.
Not when it comes from dropping participation numbers http://hotair.com/archives/2011/12/02/november-unemployment-rate-down-to-8-6-120k-jobs-added/ I want private companies to feel more comfortable taking risks and hiring again. I don't want the workforce feeling more comfortable living off the government.
So you're complaining about how the unemployment rate is calculated? How about having more Pro-American politicians than Anti-TheOtherGuy: http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/01/politics/congress-payroll-tax-cut/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
You asked why 'The Party of NO' is upset about the numbers. I told you. You should be upset too. 315,000 leaving the workforce is not some boost to the economy.
As a business owner I can guarantee you lefties this: the moment Barry gets the boot out of office, the economy will improve instantaneously, employers like myself will start hiring again. I know it's tough for you lefties to digest this, but for the past 3 years, Barry's policies have destroyed our economy. Barry even said that himself back in 2008 "We are 5 days away from FUNDAMENTALLY changing the United States of America".
You're so far to the right, everybody is a lefty to you. Spin it how you want. Keep up your talking points. Offer no solutions. You got nothin.
I think my solution is crystal clear: "the moment Barry gets the boot out of office, the economy will improve instantaneously, employers like myself will start hiring again".
This whole thread is partisan garbage. And are we so juvenile that we don't acknowledge "the party of no" is whatever party isn't currently steering the ship? Whatever.
