    Tilman is a marketing genius. He spreads this news on Friday so all Rockets fans eat at his restaurants all weekend. He got me, I’ll be at the Post Oak Hotel all weekend overpaying for drinks and mediocre food.

    Chris still has very good short term value in a trade if Houston doesn't win the 2018-19 title, or if GS defeats us. All a team would need is a decent backup PG along with him.

    When Tilman Fertilla bought the team last year, it should've been clear that whatever wink-wink deal that Morey/Les had with CP3, he'd know about it. That's the most obvious thing he should've been in on because CP3 was clearly the major financial cost for him in the near future.

    That said, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some injury stipulations that the Rockets now want from CP3, but I doubt it's any major issue. If they somehow made promises, and I'm sure promises were made last year for CP3 to opt in, to the head of Players Union and renegated that's just being stupid. That's the type of thing you can do for a minimum type player not CP3.
