saw broussard's face on the vid. immediately know not to click. he's an idiot, who cares what he says
True, but if you haven’t noticed the sports media has set up the narrative that the Rockets are toxic and any player they bring in will crash and burn.....which means even Rivers, GGreen, House and Faried would be fools to return. Sometimes when you are painted into a corner (by others) the best path out is straight ahead.
Lmao, who? Jay Williams, Chris Broussard, and Stephen A Smith? Those are the 3 sources? No surprise that’s who u gravitate to.
These media pundits are so scared of the mere notion of the Rockets getting stronger it's hilarious. They're so invested in the almighty Lakers regaining their Western crown now that the Warriors are fading and are sick to their stomach of Harden and the Rockets squashing Lebron's narrative for another season.
they are afraid that we forming a superteam that's why all these media heads trying to sent out this jimmy won't fit narrative.
The media is always saying anything the Rockets do will never work, and then it DOES. Then they'll be stating how the decisions were obvious. They don't want it to work because Houston is not one of the East/West coast teams.
Great post. I want to re-emphasize that Butler is not the kind of guy that takes 20+ shots a game. Like you said his career high is 16.5, and he only took 13.6 per game in Philly last year. Eric Gordon took 13.8 for us last year. That's right, Butler actually took less shots per game last year than Eric Gordon. Butler is a direct Gordon replacement, shots wise.
I agree with everything you said except I don’t believe Gordon and Capela for Butler is too much. Everything else is spot on. Nice post.
exactly...Jimmy will have no issues getting the number of shot attempts he’s accustomed to...people should just expect more drives, midrange, and post ups to get to get to that number of shots as opposed to jacking up a bunch of threes like EG the main issue to me might be that Jimmy is used to being the closer, so he and Harden will have to figure that out
Yeah, people like to bring up that Jimmy is a worse shooter than Eric, which is true, but he gets to the line a LOT more and is also more difficult to guard because he's a lot more versatile, and a lot bigger. His ability to get to the line actually puts his TS higher than Gordon, despite being a worse shooter. Then as we all know he is bigger, longer, better defender, better rebounder, better passer...I guess it's easier to just say "better at everything besides shooting".
I have no clue what he is. From everyone is going to be traded and Harden very unlikely, moving heaven and earth for Kawhi to this.........too much to wrap one's head around it.
People questioning whether Butler could fit in on a team with James Harden and Chris Paul are silly. The only thing up for debate is whether the price the Rockets must pay to unite the three is worth it.
He fits like in Philly but it is enough for a ship, that is a whole new question. Philly has parted with some shooters to get to Butler.
The only scenario where we get Butler without both Capela and Gordan going out is if Jimmy opts in, like CP3 did two years ago. The fact that we gave CP3 the max last year, makes a promise of that to Butler more trustworthy. The more likely scenario is a sign and trade, with Capela going to a team with cap space for a first rounder and gordan, other teams first, and a pick from us. N.O. has been interested in Capela and has two first round picks next year. This makes me believe the most likely scenario is a sign and trade where we lose Gordan and Capela plus a pick, with NO the most likely third team.
