No love for The Shield?? Easily the best police drama ever, belongs right up there with The Sopranos, 24, Six Feet Under etc as one of the best dramas of all times. I always thought 3rd Rock from the Sun was very funny also.
Did anyone honestly expect him and Jackie to hook up? Every person you describe was thrilled at the prospect of any kind of reality to that situation. Huh, back at Mila Kunis. She must be God or something.
Some will remember some of these and some won't. The Game- WB show. Extra's Reno 911 King of Queens Just Shoot me Spin City Wings Titus 3rd rock from the Sun Andy Richter controls the Universe Cedric the Entertainer show, Grounded for Life- two words, Megyn Price. The PJs What about Brian Keen Eddie Freaks and Geeks Get Real- Anne Hathaway's beauty first blessed us with her beauty on this show.
anyone remember pro stars? i used to like the theme when iw as kid....and i used to laugh at "Dic" cuz i was a stupid kid. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/90edRYrdqUQ&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/90edRYrdqUQ&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
What is taking "them" so long to release the last couple seasons. I practically line up at Best Buy all by myself before they open to buy the newly released seasons. John Ritters hot wife hasn't been introduced yet and I think they're about to write off Loel and replace him with Captain Personality... it feels kind of like losing Duchovny on X-Files or Coach on Cheers. The best is behind us.
Well, according to fox the seventies only consisted of Eric's basement, driveway and that restaurant they would eat at. Yes, this is standard sitcom but the writing didn't overcome the lack of realism like Newsradio, Seinfeld, or Frasier did. That 70s Show would have been nothing if people didn't love Topher Grace, and if Fez didn't say "I would like to thee her boobeeths" every episode.
Have to agree. That was a great, great show. Hard to believe it got canceled twice... if only DVDs were around back then to help save it. Also from the same era, Duckman.
The Critic was HILARIOUS. Definition of Underrated. Sort of a cult classic which is appreciated but not widely enough, nonetheless is GOLD if you are into metal/rockumentary.
Actually 70's Show would have been nothing without the great chemistry of the entire cast...very much like Friends.
I was big into detective shows Remington Steele Simon and Simon Riptide The Flash - TV show Dungeons and Dragons . . . wait. . underrate or nostalgic *grin* Rocket River
That's a bit unfair because most every show either succeeds or fails based on the personality of the cast. And even if the cast sucks, you can only blame the casting director. Hopefully there should never be a writer whose ineptitude undermines the magnetic personality of a cast member. Topher is just likable. A terrible unforgivable Eddie Brock but likable. I don't know why. I love Fez but I can't stand the actor who plays him. "Yo Momma"? Are you frigging shooting my behind?
1. The Rockford Files Best detective show ever- most realistic plots, great guest stars (not necessarily "name" actors, but great character actors), excellent mix of comedy and drama, excellent writing (explicitly devoid of the cliches you get from many detective shows), and, oh yeah, here's the 5 main cast members: James Garner Noah Beery Stuart Margolin Joe Santos Gretchen Corbett Anyone who grew up in the 70s knows that you can't top that lineup- best ever. It should be ranked as a top 10 all-time show, yet it barely cracks the top 100 on most lists. Easily, easily the most underrated show ever produced.
Hate to admit it, but 8 Simple Rules would make this list for me. And Kaley Cuoco is nummy. I hated That 70's Show...maybe not hated, but never really understood the lovefest. Hyde was funny but Ashton Kutcher's character was same old same old all the time and Wilmer whatshisname got old REAL quick for me. Carlos Mencia and George Lopez are equally unfunny...but at least Lopez isn't unbearably annoying on top of it. Carlos Mencia is the Stephen A Smith of comedy, and I'm not interested. Could somebody give me more info on Six Feet Under? I've never seen the show and don't know a ton about it other than what IMDB tells me...is it really that good? I know it's developed quite a cult following. Good thread, by the way. Most movies that come out nowadays are so overhyped and poor quality, I find that the only Netflix-ing I do is with television shows anymore.
