Brewer's start was no worse than Harden's last 3 minutes when he decided to take all but one of the shots and chucked them all, adding in a couple turnovers, 2 missed field goals and a charge. But, the one 3pt shot Anderson took kept us alive, and Ariza saved the day with that final rebound. We would have never won without Harden, but dang, when he gets tired he really needs to get that ball to guys like Anderson and Gordon, and not try and do it all himself. They were wide open at times, but he just kept the ball himself. It's like he forgets what was working, and who is on fire with their 3's, and wants to do it all himself in the last 3 minutes. He has far more assists per game this year, and it is working great, but when he goes back to his old ways at the clutch, it makes those last 3 minutes were too close for comfort!
Demar Derozan leads the league in scoring and even he passes wide open shots from 3, because he's not great at making them and he knows that's not his strong side. Corey Brewer couldn't lead a varsity team in scoring, yet he takes every opportunity to jack up a brick. Doesn't anyone know what Brewer can't do, including Brewer? If a random guy from stands was asked to step in and play couple possessions, would he also try to shoot the ball every time he got it? Yes, he probably would. But that's why he's a random dude from street and not a pro bball player who should know what he can and cant do on the court. God damn it Pringless. For the last 7 years Brewer is averaging WAY BELOW NBA AVERAGE shooting from 3. He doesn't belong on this team, in this system where even bigs have to make 3s. And he's a SHOOTING guard.
Rockets are no longer undefeated with one of the 5 worst players in the league in their starting lineup. Lock it up
And the streak ends but all good things have to come to an end! Here's to starting another new winning streak with Sewer as starter
