    NM.

He tapped out on rep 22.

    Definitely got 21.

    So his target was 25.

Sad that he only got 21 considering all the talk he's been doing.

Most of this is his rookie year, but since you watch so much film(OH YOU DON"T TRUST ME)! I will send you this link so you can watch Aldon Smith the first time.

End of the world, do some research before you spout off some utter CHIT that isn't true.

Barely any bending "HTOWN DIE HARD", quickness, hands, stunts, and a nasty bull rush.

You do know that he's focusing on speed an agility, not strength right? No intelligent person questions his strength. He want's to blow everyoen away with his 40 time, his 3 cone, and his drills.

Stop trolling. You consistently exploit yourself as the biggest troll/unintelligent poster in the football forum.

    That's very likely what happened.

But really it's a broken system to begin with. None of these numbers are going to be the same 2 months from now let alone when training camp rolls around. I understand they need to measure something from a physical standpoint but unless the numbers are just brutal it shouldn't matter that much.

Is a tenth of a second that important to a QB? Nope not at all. For some of them a second doesn't even matter. But for the media it could be a killer. Doesn't make any sense.

All these guys are going to change most likely significantly in the NFL weight room over the next few months and years.

It's just a way to compare all of the players in the draft in a neutral setting and that's why a lot of players don't like it. Pro day is a much more controlled friendly environment so it's easier to put up better numbers, but that's also why those numbers aren't seen as being as valid as combine numbers.

it's discouraging when he says he's going to do "amazing things" and he comes up well short of his first goal.

hopefully he has a better day tomorrow.

If it was a speed or agility goal then sure, but he wasn't really focusing on the bench press and it's not like anyone with a fully functioning brain questions his strength. He will need to do "amazing things" tomorrow though.

probably explains why he was so gassed last season towards the end of games.

i do not see why he would not focus on the bench press aspect.

his power/speed combo is what makes him unique.

clearly the power side is not what it can be. explains a lot in regards to him getting gassed last season towards the end of games.

    JJ Watt had 34.

    Mario Williams had 35.

    They're "functionally strong" as well.

    2 sides to the coin.

    this is dumb.

    robert quinn can bend.

clowney's game is based on power/speed.

    he NEEDS that power.

Why would he? No one questions his strength and since his arms are incredibly long, it's not going to be a very good event for him anyway.

They also had 30 pounds on him and weren't trying to fit in as an OLB.

Again, no one with a fully functioning brain questions Clowney's strength, and he'll display his speed tomorrow.

    this is bull.

jj watt has an 82.5 inch wingspan, yet he still threw up 34.

    hehe.. you getting defensive, son!!!

clowney said to expect amazing numbers, and that INCLUDES bench press.

if he said "i will post amazing numbers EXCEPT bench press" I would give him credit.

unfortunately he did not say that... stop making excuses for him and call a spade a spade.

i hope he has a better day tomorrow.

You're reaching for any excuse to bash Clowney, no one questions his strength and it wasn't his focus so why does 21 bench press reps matter? It clearly doesn't. Now if he posts worse than a 4.57 40 time tomorrow....
