We're in Hangout. Why are people posting stupid D&D responses?

The shooter had a personal agenda.
Some posters in this thread have a personal agenda.

I would say there has to be more to this story, but maybe there isn't. One time I changed lanes in traffic on Westheimer before hitting a red light and a drunk guy sped into me and hit me on purpose. He was screaming and talking trash, and I was unsure why since I signaled. It was a small scratch, so I didn't bother wasting my time with him or the police.

    Crackheads, alcoholics, and meth heads...

If there had been no cars to initially collide, this would have never been an issue. There is a 1 to 1 correlation between cars and car accidents.

Clearly, the shooter was a law abiding citizen in good standing, and as such, we must disarm all law abiding citizens.

What do you expect from articles about a shooting? Only way to not go D&D would be every response saying something like "RIP, this is crazy. So sad. :("
Only natural that this turns into a debate about guns.

    Hooray guns.

If you want a means of personal defense, carry a knife. Then again, all those drive by stabbings would go up.

It really doesn't have to. There isn't even information about whether she owned the gun lawfully.

what difference does that make? The heated debates on guns on this BBS have people like Pizza_Da_Hut and TheRealist137 butthurt no matter the facts. Just ignore the comments and move on.

RIP to the chinese lady and I feel horrible for the family that they had a front row seat.

I'm sorry I'm desensitized to something that happens all too often.

You're right. That makes no difference. The difference is that this Hnagout, which is where the fun stupid stuff goes. Depressing stupid stuff goes in the D&D. People carry their feuds with them everywhere they post in the D&D. They shouldn't bring their feuds to Hangout. That's all.

I agree to a certain extent. I avoid D&D because it makes me sad and angry. I come to hangout for entertainment. I lost my cool and reacted to what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Expressing regret and condolences are fine for hangout ( see any RIP to celebrity threads as reference), it's just massacres bring out a sort of feeling those other threads don't.

I actually thought about whether this should be in D&D, but at last I didn't think this was something that should be about anything but a tragedy. Notice I didn't put anything in the post or that title that were opinionated or inflammatory. Really thought people would've just been condemning the action of the crazy while showing sympathy to the dead girl.

Have not seen to much of the latter actually....

Also if you consider Davis had a prior record for reckless driving and fleeing the scene, was using Oxycodone and had written before that she wanted to commit violence and get attacked by law enforcement.
