Drew- Don't be mad, nobody gave the Texans a chace in hell to win, except for a couple of fans here in Houston. The Texans executed the plays they needed to and won. If the Cowboys won, would you be saying," Wow, the Cowboys won a on a makeshift O-line and against five rookie starters."....methinks not.
i could not be happier right now this was the perfect start to the Houston Texans franchise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blah blah blah shut the hell up is my defense. The Texans won, and the Cowboys played ****ty is what I was trying to say. Im not making up excuses so spare me the garble.
I said it in the other thread and I'll say it again....Take your lumps like a man. You have it coming. And again, your sig is really offensive
The cowboys, for me, are the best team for the Texans to get their 1st win against. I am usually supportive of other texas teams but I really hate the Cowboys. Its great to have football back in Houston.
Man, I'm so glad that DrewP and RC are getting ragged on by our Texans' fans. I remember this thread I started....and all the crap that they said: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.phps=&threadid=39514 Now this GREAT win makes it even more sweeter...
I got some great pics also...what a blast that was. Damn I cant believe I have to be at work in 5 hours. Cowboys still suck. I dont care if we lose the next 15.
Wonder how many of the Cowboys fans....of which I saw many at the scrimmage and preseason stuff....will suddenly vanish here in town? I'm sure they'll wear their new Texan jerseys with pride.
I went to the game tonight, and the noise inside was unbelievable. I had a pounding headache all night long, but I'll gladly take this one. The fans were so loud tonight, it almost had a college football atmosphere. For anyone who saw the game on TV, was the Astrodome ever this loud during the late 1970s and "Luv Ya Blue"? I KNEW the Texans had a real shot at winning even without Boselli because when I listened to the Cowboys talking this past week, they just sounded too confident. I could not believe the Cowboys came out so flat and the Texans so hot. In the 3rd quarter, Campo must have lit the A-Bomb on his team because the Cowboys came out like defending Super Bowl champions and had the Texans on the ropes. The 4th quarter was a true gut check, but the Texans came out like warriors. All night long, I kept shaking my head in disbelief, because even though I thought the Texans could pull this one out, I was amazed with the way things were turning out. It was almost surreal. Hell, it may have been similar to USA beating USSR in hockey at the '80 Olympics. Lord knows I kept saying, "Do you believe in miracles?" After the game, as the fans were walking down the concourse, fans were high-fiving each other, and yelling "HOUSTON.....TEXANS....HOUSTON....TEXANS". I wonder if this is how Ali felt when he yelled "I shocked the world"!! It is just a great night to be a Texan fan.
