multiply true elite talents first supported by versatile players who aren't completely one dimensional. and of course fit is a must

I do understand losing Bev leaves a hole. Bev's energy was contagious. However, let's not forget Paul's a solid defender as well. He's also not a bad rebounder. So the hole isn't that big. I do hope PJ Tucker can help off the bench. Maybe another KJ Daniels-like defender with quickness might help, but i think we're good. But acquiring Melo is a HUGE play and risk that any team would make. Yes chemistry concerns are valid. But when you have 2 of the best PG's, it's hard to imagine any chemistry issues w/ 2 unselfish ball handlers. The way I see it is the floor will be WIDE open given the fact you can't double Harden or CP3. MDA's system is made for whoever's open to shoot. If Carmelo's the option teams are forced to give us, then NOBODY will be able to stop us.

Bev had an awesome season. Looked really good all around. But if you have followed the rockets you would know bev's defense is at times blown up in my opinion. Dude is a grinder, hustler and rebounder but he would get blown by a lot. Imo cp3 has been the more consistent defender of the two.

yeah that's the thing for me as well. bev's approach to defense is more energy, physical, antics, and iso based. i loved it though on our team and it was much needed.

Bev is a great dude and I'd love to have him back. But I feel like he is going to struggle not playing next to harden and clips fans are going to get frustrated. Kind of like we were when bev was running the offense under Mchale when harden was sitting on the bench. On a side not bev is a sick defender and so is cp3 but they can only guard one position. Guys like klay absolutely torch bev. That's why I love the tucker addition because he brings some of what bev brings and he can defend at least 3 positions

Convenient that you waited til the Melo talks were halted to post this thread. I'm sure you were fully excited about the prospect of cp3 + Melo but then when it didn't happen you post this CF bashing thread to make yourself seem superior, ya douche.

His posts history is all about how Dwight Howard got to get out of this dumpster fire and got to actually going a good team where he can win something

I disagree with this. Personally, I think it's a wash. Bev is a more tenacious defender while CP3 is a smarter defender. Bev does win out in hustle points, but none of that matters considering the offensive power CP3 brings in over whatever Bev can offer any given night.

Another defensive wing off the bench.
