ha! I was going to quote that line also but that picture is great! Congrats! "Don Corleone, I am honored and grateful that you have invited me to your home on the wedding day of your daughter. May their first child be a masculine child."
Wonderful news. Nothing like brothers beating on each other! I had two of them; I was the one in the middle.
It makes it much easier. You already have enough to deal with so you might as well be able to plan as much as possible. I am happy that we found out about both of ours.
yeah..me too. otherwise i'd be painting the room and picking out furnishings AFTER the baby got here. no, thanks. yesterday was very exciting for me, my wife and my older son.
I'm telling you waiting is the way to go. All this BS about having to plan or paint or whatever is a cop out. We waited for both or ours and while it drove our families crazy it was well worth it. Most guys want to know so they can get over the disappointment of not having a boy if they find out they are having a girl. Congrats again MAX. I know your son is about the same age as my daughter (she turns 4 tomorrow) and she has been asking for a sister but since she already has a brother who is just over 2 (and I'm about to go get myself fixed) the chances of us giving her one are slim to none. I can imagine how excited she would be at an ultrasound though so I know your boy must have been very very excited. Congrats to you all.
I don't think I'd find out... My mom didn't find out for any of her children, and even though our rooms were painted baby blue (my dad was REALLY hoping for a boy) most everything else we had was gender neutral. I'm a big fan of having stuff (especially clothes) that's not necessarily boy or girl oriented.
Do you think the nonspecific gender-orientation of your furnishings as an infant contributed to your current androgenous leanings? .
My wife and I will be having an ultrasound done in September. I was sent this link from MSN video that has a good video about the 4-d ultrasounds. If that is offered to us we will definitely be trying that out. To get to the video you have to use IE and click on the video entitled "In the Womb".
One of my friends got one of those 4D ultrasound pic thingies when his wife was pregnant. He said it cost a couple of hundred bucks. Pretty cool stuff.
Castor, Be wary of the 4D Ultrasounds. The samples you see in the waiting room are "digitally enhanced" from what we were told. We paid $300 to get one done and we couldn't see anything and it didn't look anything like the photos/samples. We ended up getting our money back. They blamed it on the baby, and said the way he was turned made it impossible to get the pic they needed. We talked to a few other people, and they had the same problem. Just make sure they have a refund policy.
