I just watched the new WW2 doc on Netflix and was surprised by the welcome Ukraine had for the Nazis when they first rolled in -- of course the joy of 'liberation' from Stalin didn't last long.

Sidenote: This war is really strange like an alternate timeline with grinding WW1 trench warfare mixed with high tech 21st century equipment and intelligence.

Edit It's WW2 From the Front lines

The Russians all welcomed the NAZIs at first, because of Stalin then they realized Hitler was just as bad, those poor people have been **** on for centuries.

Enlighten us then Socrates. Tell us all about how WW2 in color is so wrong and how only you know the true history of the universe.

Like evolution, replacement is only a theory and not a fact.

I find a lot of the arguments about spending in the US instead of Ukraine by many of those in the Right disingenuous. Currently many spending bills focused on domestic spending have been resisted in Congressional Republicans such as the compromise border bill. Even before the invasion of Ukraine congressional republicans were resisting bills like the Inflation Reduction act arguing that too much money was being spent. Even as now many Republicans are campaigning on projects funded by that and other infrastructure bills.

This appears less about domestic versus foreign spending but about giving more legislative victories to the Biden Administration .

Spending money is the lesser issue. Its the attention and resolutions. "Spending" to solve our problems is why were are at a 120% Debt to GDP.

This seems more like justification to continue to spend money on a war (special operation) that is inevitable going to be lost.

Government is not a business or a household it is not trying to make a profit.

Debt isn’t bad it stops wars.

It’s a disingenuous argument when people say we should be spending more money in the US on domestic issues but then refuse to support those too.

If they didn’t like spending in general then state they at the beginning. This is the classic moving the goal post.

Stop funding the war in Ukraine! Our infrastructure is falling apart!
    *VOTES AGAINST INFRASTRUCTURE BILL*

The reality is that the current Republican party can only pass one thing: tax cuts for corporations and wealthy earners.
