Their is disagreement among the left. It is possible to see Putin as a bad person and to see the US hawks including quite a number of Democrats who were interested in not having Russia be part of the West but who kept reneging on promises not on promises to not keep moving missiles and NATO to the Russian borders.
Nothing against the poster, but Prigozhin is such a dramatic POS. First, there is almost no difference between Wagner and the Russian military. The reason that Wagner is in such high esteem is because it allows for Putin to launder money and it gives him a second military if there is ever an attempt to over throw him. All of the training for Wagner is done at Russian military sites as well. There is nothing elite about Wagner either, they essentially take prisoners, orphans, drug addicts and foreigners and pay them a $1,000 a month to fight on the frontlines until they are killed. Prigozhin is a disgusting pig. He is a Jew that is full of self hatred and has surrounded himself with human waste like Dimitry Utkin, who is a proud neo-nazi and nationalist. The leaders of Wagner are all vile people. They will all end up dead or eventually made to face justice at the end of a rope.
Depends... right now Wagner is paying $25,000 to the family of each dead soldier. I haven't heard if they have STOPPED making payment, but that is the way they have kept families from commenting on their dead relatives - the money is contingent on the family saying nothing.
This is one of the silliest things I have read in a long time. The upper ranks of Russian society in full of thieves, murderers, criminals, military officials, neo-nazi's and Rodnoverie adherents. Russia isn't peacefully going into the night. Indeed, most of the oligarchs in Russia around Putin that were not nationaist zealots have been pushed out since the Ukranian invasion. It is a widely overstated trope, but the power structure in Russia is like Nazi Germany in that it is made up of a very diverse group that are not products of the government or state - they are very radical with very strong counter culture opinions.
And likewise Russia reneged on its promises and kept attacking its Central Asian neighbors. There is a reason why countries want to join NATO and it’s because of Russia’s actions before and after the Soviet Union. Force is the only way to stop Putin.
Right....... except it is obvious that the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians do NOT want to surrender and become, at best a vassal state of Russia, and at worst be murdered in mass. Also, I don't understand why this is so difficult for you - there is nothing to negotiate. Russia can leave the Ukraine or continue the war.

And if Russia offers to leave 100% but requires Ukraine to disarm all western weapons in exchange for Russian/Chinese weapons, would you be ok with that? I suspect we all would have a serious issue if Mexico abandoned US weapons and instead started arming with Russian and Chinese weapons.
This is what Russia wants. They want the war to continue. Putin does not care how many people die. He wants the entire world involved. Convince all the BRIC's to stop supporting Russia. The opposite is happening.
