Arms supply lines often run both ways (see Iran and North Korea supplying Russia). I definitely could see WMD’s getting “misplaced” being a huge issue for sure but we are a long way from regime change and destabilization imo. Maybe Putin is replaced… still a long shot but maybe… but there’s still a governing infrastructure and a military chain of command that should be able to stabilize pretty quickly if let’s say Putin slips on some stairs. Poisoning would be a fitting way to go actually. Given his weird neurological quirks such as grabbing the table etc you kind of wonder if he’s already been poisoned at some point anyways unsuccessfully. But regardless I think Russia wouldn’t be at risk of destabilization and chaos the way a country in Africa might or in the Middle East. Moscow and St Petersburg have the infrastructure of any major western city. The citizens there seem to just want to go about their lives watching dancing with the stars and whatnot. The new leader would be taking over because they need to get out of Ukraine and would be taking over a depleted military. He might spew anti west rhetoric but I just don’t see any way a new leader has a card to play that Putin hasn’t already played other than WMD’s and nobody taking over wants to be king for a day. I personally would feel comfortable rolling the dice to an extent but yes, there would need to be massive coordination to keep WMD’s from being sold off in the power exchange or Putin’s last days to NK or Iran.
I'm not saying that Russia falling apart is something that is going to happen but I think the possibility is there. It's very unclear who would be Putin's heir should he no longer be there. That is a recipe for a power grab and chaos. Also yes Russia appears to be a modern country and the people there seem to just want to live their lives that doesn't mean that there aren't political and military leaders who aren't interested in grabbing power and willing to use whatever means to do so. This is the inherent problem with an authoritarian state that doesn't have separation of power or rule of law. Once the autocrat is gone there is no stability to the system.
What a bunch of f***ing comic-opera villains. Dude needs to grow a mustache to twirl: Evgeny Prigozhin handed the European Parliament a sledgehammer in a violin case with an engraved logo of the "Wagner" PVC and traces of "blood" on the handle Earlier, the Politico publication reported that the deputies of the European Parliament called on the EU to include the "Wagner" PEC in the list of terrorist organizations. In response, the businessman handed over an "information case" to the representative of the European Parliament. https://t.me/operativnoZSU
I don't know if the odds of any one individual dying and having their body thrown in a physical or metaphorical ditch are particularly high, but ******* it he's gonna try.
Can't we just accelerate to where we have a multinational committee that has a multinational hit squad that takes out people deemed to be bad for humanity? Has to be that some people are just not redeemable and should be terminated. DD
These are the kind of nonsensical patriotic bulls**t books being printed in Russia these days: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Stalinism is Christianity.
It's ****ing disturbing Putin is calling back to Stalinism while Xi is wearing Mao's clothes and wants to close up China like the chairman. All we need is a Nazi resurgence with a female Mussolini.
Protecting Russia from evil Western gay propaganda, while in bed with the choir boy. The side of total honesty and transparency.
About six months ago, Britain first provided Ukraine with Brimstone missiles. But a video made public by the British Forces Broadcasting Service last month showed the more sophisticated model being readied for shipment at RAF Brize Norton. The missiles can select their own target from a pre-programmed list using an extremely high-frequency millimetric wave radar, or they can track a laser fired by soldiers, aircraft, or vehicles to hit their target. Each missile costs roughly £175,000. Brimstone can be used with extreme precision in densely populated regions when guided by a laser fired by friendly soldiers, reducing the possibility of collateral damage among civilians.
