Yes a lot of the video we see from the war is essentially Ukrainian propaganda since Western reporters are dependent on Ukriaine to give them access to the battlefield. That doesn't mean that the Russians are actually doing much better than we think. Considering the Russians are admitting they are retreating. This would be much different if Ukrainians had claimed the captured Kherson but the Russians said they were still there and Ukrainian forces weren't letting reporters in there to verify.
Why would anyone object - they got Nuke. "US spending of 5.6% of its defense budget to destroy nearly half of Russia’s conventional military capability seems like an absolutely incredible investment. " It’s Costing Peanuts for the US to Defeat Russia - CEPA Former President Trump, and others in the US including some Democrats as well as Republicans, have criticized continued US support for Ukraine in its war with Russia. They have called for military and financial support to Ukraine to be cut, even ended. They downplay the risk from Russia and argue that the money should be spent at home. Yet from numerous perspectives, when viewed from a bang-per-buck perspective, US and Western support for Ukraine is an incredibly cost-effective investment. Altogether, the Biden administration received Congressional approval for $40bn in aid for Ukraine for 2022 and has requested an additional $37.7bn for 2022. More than half of this aid has been earmarked for defense. These sums pale into insignificance when set against a total US defense budget of $715bn for 2022. The assistance represents 5.6% of total US defense spending. But Russia is a primary adversary of the US, a top tier rival not too far behind China, its number one strategic challenger. In cold, geopolitical terms, this war provides a prime opportunity for the US to erode and degrade Russia’s conventional defense capability, with no boots on the ground and little risk to US lives. ... Note also that the war is also pushing NATO partners to quickly increase spending to the 2% of GDP and above target. Given the US’ technological advantage in defense equipment, a sizeable share of this additional military outlay will be spent on US equipment. Countries eager to secure defense capability to meet their own threats – think of Turkey, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia — might have opted for cheaper, “value” Russian defense offerings. However, with the quality/capability of this equipment now being questioned because of poor battlefield performance, they will likely be vying to acquire a better US kit. ... In conclusion, on so many levels, continued US support for Ukraine is a no-brainer from a bang for buck perspective. Ukraine is no Vietnam or Afghanistan for the US, but it is exactly that for Russia. A Russia continually mired in a war it cannot win is a huge strategic win for the US. Why would anyone object to that?
They prefer the Russian worldview and are pissed the great 19th century revanchist renewal is falling on it's face. Russia literally positions themselves at the last bastion of conservative white power against the gays and the blacks. They object because the side they are rooting for is losing. Alternately, they are Stalin's "useful idiots" and are just parroting the positions of the people they follow who feel that way.
Word on The Street is that Russia is looking for a few good men. Military experience appears not to be required. Hatred for Nazis and Satan is a plus.
Most of the US weapons are stockpiled and need to be replaced with newer stuff and this is LEND LEASE, they are gonna have to pay it back - unless we forgive it. DD
Use it or lose it, most of this stuff would be destroyed as it is LAST GENERATION tech.....so getting some use out of it, exposing Russia for being a paper tiger is well worth what we are doing. DD
If everything had gone according to plan, the Russians would be fueling their tanks in Odessa right now, preparing to "liberate" Tirasopol, and then on to Chisinau. All anti-government protests taking place in the capital of Moldova are financed by Russia. Attacks on politicians are part of hybrid warfare. In Chisinau, the pro-Russian party "Shor" constantly organizes protests against the authorities and demands the dissolution of the parliament. President of Moldova Maya Sandu.
Russian literal w**** Yulia Prokhorova was deported from Germany. Oddly enough, the insufferable Russian nationalist refused to return to Russia, and went to Turkey instead. Russian scumbag Yulia Prokhorova was deported from Germany. Previously, she persecuted Ukrainian refugees
Head of Israel's defense council said in a public TV interview that if Iran sells ballistic missiles to Russia, Israel will start supplying Ukraine with the same, which won't be an equal trade for Russia. Ukrainians seem very excited by this prospect: https://en.defence-ua.com/news/isra...e_which_ones_and_how_possible_it_is-4914.html
Official mouthpieces on the government run TV network now talking about the imminent satano-nazi threat coming from Khazakstan. It sure is tough being a Russian, Nazis and Satanists everywhere you look.
https://www.newsweek.com/russian-te...and-putin-officially-end-mobilization-1761535 Russian Territory Officials Demand Putin Officially End His Mobilization In the latest indication of mounting discontent, territory officials from the Republic of Karelia, a northwestern region of Russia bordering Finland, sent Putin a letter urging him to issue a decree that would prohibit the military from continuing the ongoing mobilization due to its negative effects on Russian society.
This is one thing I would worry about if things get so bad that Putin is deposed or assassinated. There will be a power struggle in Russia that could lead to even more chaos. Regional governors could try to carve up their own fiefdoms while with a disordered military Russian WMDs could be stolen or sold. This was a legitimate fear when the Soviet Union broke up and one reason why the US was working then with Russians to try to secure WMD.
