Sasse breaks with Trump's call for probe: 'Americans don't look to Chinese commies for the truth' "China should start an investigation into the Bidens,” Trump said in front of cameras on the South Lawn of the White House. "Hold up: Americans don’t look to Chinese commies for the truth. If the Biden kid broke laws by selling his name to Beijing, that’s a matter for American courts, not communist tyrants," Ben Sasse. (R) Senator, NE, said in a statement to the Omaha World-Herald. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate...call-for-probe-americans-dont-look-to-chinese
For classic liberal, non-Trump supporter @dachuda86 who has used the phrase quid pro quo more often in the last week than he has in his enter life.
Asking a country to look into any corruption that we may have been involved in isn't an impeachable offense. Biden running for president does not make him immune. I know you want this so bad but it’s just not the smoking gun you’re looking for, if it is then vote on it and let the chips fall where they may.
You know what’s funny. He can’t get agencies to investigate Biden here so he has to try and use foreign countries. If this is not trying to influence the elections I don’t know what is. If the country’s own agencies won’t investigate because they deem it is not credible why is Trump trying to get foreign countries to investigate something that the United States enforcement agencies won’t touch.
[/QUOTE] I’m all for full transparency, that’s why they need to vote it and let’s see everybody’s hand. I can guarantee it won’t be pretty but who thought draining the swamp would be.
Especially since the swamp starts with Trump and his inner circle. That’s what the forefathers put impeachment powers in the constitution for circumstances like this.
I'm for presidents not dictating who to investigate especially a political adversary right before an election based on a Sean Hannity segment and extorting foreign countries to cooperate with the president's private cable tv lawyers to dig up dirt on the president's political rivals

I've many very rich people in my life. You can just feel the arrogance in the air arround them. Steve Wynn, the Maloof brothers. Trump is in another stratosphere when in comes to arrogance. I truly believe when it comes to rules and laws, that those pesky things do not apply to him, that they were made only for the common folk. Trump is daring the dems to impeach him, catch me if you can style. Yet, it's exactly that attitude that will ultimately doom him. He may not be removed after impeachment, but his legal troubles may be only starting once he leaves office. Without the protection from the Oval office, Trump will go down the same way Capone did, courtesy of the state of NY. That's my prediction.
