I think it makes the most sense for you to pursue your original path of relocating to LA. Now, are you likely to remain a struggling actor, interested in sports, yada, yada... yes, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that it's the best place to be for you. if you want to be a tech entreprenuer, go to Silicon Valley. If you want to be an investment banker, go to NYC. If you want to work in oil & gas, stay in Houston... that type of thing.

You are interested in acting and sports.

Go to LA. Biggest acting market (again, albeit highly competitive). Tons of sports franchises and college teams.

You're asking a question? Please, don't occupy Wallstreet when neither one of your crap degrees lands you a job.

Don't waste your time and money on a masters in sports management if you aren't going to get a bachelors degree in something that will be beneficial to a career in sports.(Finance, Accounting, something along those lines).

I think it was Mark Cuban who said he tells those interested in a career in sports to not bother getting a degree in sports management. Those are for the most part kinda worthless, but imo it depends on the program you go to. Some programs like the Georgetown SIM program (Someone on Clutchfans goes there, I forget his CF name) are worthwhile because of the valuable internships with teams, leagues and companies that are accessible from a school in the DMV area. Those internships in turn lead to decent jobs with a majority of those teams, leagues and companies.

If it is too late to change your major then I'd say just do a heckuva lotta networking to get an internship with a team or company in Cali and from there you'll have your intro into the sports business/management world.

    Hope that helps

You may be right as well. It is too late to change my major, and it is all about networking, I do alot of that whenever the opportunity is possible. All I need is an intro and I would gladly work my way up to where I want to be
