Well, first of all, that doesn't happen. But if everyone gets a 95+, they would all get A's and only one or two people would get an A+, probably someone who participates in class, never misses class, etc.
Apparently UH will now finally be included in the Princeton Review. http://www.uh.edu/news-events/stories/2011articles/March2011/032911PrincetonReview.php Baby steps.
Say what you will about Renu Khator, but the program has made some pretty important leaps during her reign of terror. I'd rather see ambition than apathy any day of the week. Go Coogs.
I'm not sure if US News is just ranking "colleges" geared towards those majors or not. As far as the undergrad program UH is ranked number 1 in the nation for that major by the Princeton Review, and although you may not of heard about it, entrepreneurship is indeed a "real" major. Entrepreneurship is the only business major that attempts to encompass all facets of business from management, to human resources, supply chain, marketing, fincance etc. It is the art of creating and successfully running your own business. When I attended they only accepted 35 students a semester. In order to be accepted to the very selective program each applicant needed to have their own business plan ready and pass through several interviews with instructors and successful entrepreneurs. The entire course was individualized based on our own business plans. All of the lessons and exams were personalized to our own creative business ideas. I was given my own private mentor (a very successful wealthy entrepreneur) who was available 24/7 to assist me with anything business related. I learned everything from accounting, to proper business attire for certain occasions, to effective marketing strategies to golfing tips and wine recommendations. Even the final exam was an event that pitted all of us against on another creating our own business from scratch. Almost like a version of the apprentice on steroids. It was the greatest experience of my life and I learned more in a few hours spent talking real life strategies and experiences with men and women who have created enormous amounts of wealth, than any classroom lecture or text book would ever have taught me. All of that prepared me for the business I have been running for the past five years which has now expanded to three different countries.
I'm a Coog and proud of it! I've seen vast improvements in the past few years and I look forward to the university's very bright future.
Got my geology undergrad from UH. The campus looked better every year I was there. My little bro will be going there in a couple of years for his engineering degree.
Worked on main campus for 6 weeks last summer, and will be on campus working again for 4 weeks this summer. Had a wonderful time!
My freshman year at UH, I signed up for College Algebra. I went the first day but never went back and never dropped the class either. I made a C. Honestly, I didn't think UH was bad when I was there and for some majors, it probably isn't. But my opinion of UH dropped when I transferred and was able to directly compare it with another university.
