I'm making the trek to Dallas for the UH game and my main question is do they sell beer at Ford stadium?? Eat 'em Up! Drank 'em Up!! Go Coogs!!
If the stadium is on the SMU campus, probably no beer. That was always one of the cool things about the Coogs playing at the Dome. Plenty of Dome Foam to go around. Coogs better not screw up and lose this game like last year.
i was hoping to be able to catch this game while visiting some friends up in Dallas. but then, i got stuck with some crap i gotta do at home over the weekend.
No beer at Ford Stadium. This is one of the few times in my life I root against the Houston team... go Ponies, beat the Coogs and become bowl eligible! Real quick, what's the word in H-town about Jevan Snead coming to UH to run the Stephenville offense for Coach Briles next year?
I'll be there...Go Coog!!!! I've only been to one game there and no beer... UofH is one of the few schools that sells beer, I think... I guess I have to get hammered in the parking lot... Coogs: 35 SMU: 17
Dang is UH the only skool in TX that sells beer at their events on campus? Come to think of it I even bought beer at Hofheinz Pavilion during my commencements (JJ). That is prolly why attendance is low to games b/c everyone is too hammered. Don't tell the AD.
Must win game for the Coogs. We need to be the C-USA champion. Admittedly the Liberty Bowl doesn't have the cachet of a BCS bowl...but its the best we can aspire to in a normal season and we need to win it and get a top 20 national ranking.
More like the Dynamo fans should come a day early and show some love for the Coogs who play Americano Footbol! Go Houston!
I went to SMU too ('01). Hopefully the Mustangs can slow down Kolb. Our secondary got torched a couple of weeks ago against ECU.
SMU's homecoming? I did go to UH's homecoming last saturday, that was tiizzyyyteee! COOGS RULES, YUSSSS!!!
Graduated from SMU in 2002. I think that ECU game was one of those classic "we didn't think they were going to come out and throw the ball around like they did" games that typifies the Bennett-era on the Hilltop. Ponies need this game in a big way. After the Coogs, they host Tulsa and then go down to H-town to play Rice. I'd love for them to win 2 of 3 and end up in the Armed Forces Bowl against TCU! Actually, I've seen one guy on ESPN project us for the New Orleans Bowl, which wouldn't be all that bad!! Redshirt freshman in the backfield means that SMU might be a player in C-USA for a couple of years if they can continue their current upswing. A bowl game 20 years after the Death Penalty would be in a word, SWEET!
It's the only college stadium that I've been to that sells alcohol. UTEP sells beer in the student union, but not at the Sun Bowl or Haskins Center for some reason...
