    UH vs Northwestern St.

Interestingly on the tiny one page College Fantasy Football section of the Fantasy Mag I bought....Case Keenum was the #1 draft choice over #2 Tebow and #4 McCoy, I am not myopic enough to think that the quality of opposition doesn't figure into that.

We should run up and down the field on this school...won't mean much...but when we play the Ok St Cowboys and the Red Raiders we should know what we have (not that losing to both disqualifies us from running the table in C-USA)

    Go Coogs!

Just an interesting thing I've noticed lately... what's the fascination by the Cougar football team to recruit quarterbacks with "K" last names? Haven't you noticed? Both Klingers, Kolb, and now...

Just curious, were you predicting the Halftime score or the final score....41-7 at half already...

I was dead on with Keenum's stats even though they pulled him early.

They're playing Northwestern State. Northeastern is a completely different school.

Charles Sims may be battling AJ Dugat for impact true freshman on offense.

Now I see why Sumlin said he couldnt redshirt Sims. That guy is going to be a stud. Dugat dropped a td from Cotton Turner but you can see his playmaking ability on a couple of those screen passes. O/U nxt wk vs OSU may get as high as 75.

Sumlin has just done a wonderful job recruiting the backyard. I know it was Northwestern State, but Charles Sims has always been a blur, but he looked so much bigger and stronger than he did last year at Westbury High School. AJ Dugat is going to be a beast, and the linebacker from Hightower, Phillip Steward led the team in tackles tonight with 13.

Sumlin also nabbed the WR from Elkins, Jordan Jolly and the 4-star quarterback from Louisiana, Terrence Broadway. I pray every night that Sumlin doesn't ditch us for a more "high-profile" gig next season and take all of these recruits with him.

I mean he's young, likeable, a minority, and gave UH its first Bowl win since like '86 IIRC....someones gonna come knockin!

    GO COOGS!

When Sumlin gets a CUSA title under his belt and a top 25 finish, he's going to have every single BCS program in the country with a vacancy knocking on his door.

I really hope we can afford to keep him.

    Then he's gone.

That's another 10 years away, at best.

I expect the offense to be great, but I just hope that we can continue to improve the defense. Dana will do a good job regardless (and I'm afraid a lot of people will write off Case as a 'system' QB), but last year our secondary blew and our defense wasn't good. If they can improve the D over the next few seasons, I will be a happy man.
