Shouldn't it just be natural to write with correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc...? Of course, there will be those slip ups and typos, but for the most part, it shouldnt be that difficult to type above 2nd grade level. It really shouldnt matter whether you are writing an email, posting on someone's facebook, or writing a thesis...writing is writing. Lets get back on topic now...
i guess i can say im like the rockets. try and give full effort when its important, as is the case with the rockets play in important games, and not as much effort in other games, as is my case in things such as this forum.
UH's evening MBA program is ranked #1 in Houston, ahead of both UT and Rice. See the Wikipedia excerpt on page 3 of this thread. And it's less expensive than either as well. You have to go there to really appreciate how underrated the program is. One of the classes that really made me appreciate Bauer was Ivancevich's Organizational Management class. It was later I found out that the guy has written over 60 management textbooks and won numerous national awards ... while I was in his class, I was just struck by the scholarly authority with which he taught on the study of management. The class textbook was written by him, but he didn't even bother to go by the textbook when teaching ... it was like he transcended it. There's nothing like that feeling when you have completed a course and you feel like you just got a major mental upgrade.
Agreed. I'm as much a grammar nazi as anyone else, and I do agree that the quality of your writing goes a long way in influencing people's opinion about you. That said, this is a BBS, and you really can't fault people for letting their guard down and being less than formal. The guy is obviously rather immature for losing his temper like he did, but you guys need to give him a break, too.
Speaking of making UH look bad... <object width="425" height="349"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/o4ZryYqFmoc&border=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/o4ZryYqFmoc&border=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349"></embed></object> Great Sportsmanship idiot.
Hakeem was no moral saint, let's be clear. He has illegitimate children and was generally a crybaby until he found religion
So now you've stooped to betraying the most beloved sports figure in Houston history just to continue your insane conquest to defame any and every school in the state of Texas that isn't named after the staple of Asian cuisine. Precious.
I'm not sure if you're trying to be funny or just cute. UH and Rice are rivals, brah. Not sure if you knew that. Anyhow, I do wish UH academic success.
I understand there is a rivalry, and I think what the UH player did was very trashy and obviously reflects badly on the university. But you can't hate on Hakeem for what he did for the city of Houston. Few athletes are perfect role models.
1. KingCheetah, you are so cool. 2. BMoney, people in this forum for some reason like to call others out. It's really annoying because there really isn't one thread I can go through without seeing someone ruin it, by saying something smart and getting away from the whole point of why the thread was written. I don't know if they think that makes them cool or not, but I mean whatever, that's them and their pleasures lol. After about one page of comments that actually really mattered and had something to do with the thread, others ruined the thread leading it to where it is now. Sad.
