Pardon me if this sounds racist, I think it sounds realist, but, there aren't any black coaches at the major schools in Texas. Surely there is qualified black coach out there that could appeal to young black athletes and recruit them to a pro style offense at a college in the 4th largest city in the USA. You know, like Bill Yoeman did; and he kicked everbody's ass. ( Same goes for Baylor, if they had the black Baptist preachers recuiting for them they would be unstoppable) And,I don't think Klingler is going to convince anybody that he will make them successfull in the NFL.
This isn't a Texas issue. The lack of black coaches in college football as compared to the NFL has been discussed many times. Think about this: Sylvester Croom was the first black head football coach in SEC history.
