No, the student body did. I was a junior when we voted for the fees to help build it. It was supposed to help us "compete" with Rice and UT.

I've got one or two really choice horror stories about the administrators there (like screwing up the background check for my first corporate job after graduation because, a month after the semester ended, they still hadn't updated their records yet), maybe Dream's got some of the same memories that still stick in his craw. Okay, probably not.

Clyde used to 'no show' his own coaching show on channel 2.

I remember Steve Mark opened the show one time by saying "welcome to the Clyde Drexler show. Has anyone seen Clyde Drexler? He's not here and we haven't heard from him. So, Clyde....if you're watching, please call in."

    Classy.

tm, as a guy with a bunch of posts, you should know one never offers an equal comparison between Dream and Robinson. It's OK to compare them and say Dream is great while Robinson couldn't guard my grandmother or Dream gives a lot and the guy he owned has given some too, but any equivalence between the two is to be shunned.

LOL! Basketball-wise, you're right. But come on! David is a GREAT guy. He's very down to earth and does a lot of great stuff to help people, not just donate money but also being active in the community; he's very hands-on.

David is one of those people that if you ever met you would immediately get along with. There is very little ego there.
