So Israel should not defend themselves and encourage Hamas to engage in such activities? Yeah that's a viable solution.

I agree that was a little out of hand. But there also is a good number of Islamic states. 7 to be exact, not including, the states that endorse it as their state religion

Deji, do you think their will their will ever be a real everlasting peace in the region? What measures would make it happen?

How is immigrating en masse into someone else's home, lobbying the British to partition that land so as to create a Jewish state where one doesn't exist, and kicking Arabs off their land anything resembling the right to self-determination? Where is the Arab right to self-determination when they're kicked out of their homes? What in the world...

Rocketsjudoka and durvasa are two of the more objective and reasonable posters on D&D. They have agreed/disagreed with both sides and more importantly present their opinions without resorting to name-calling. I do not always agree with them but I like what they bring to the discussion.

Feel free to go through their posting history, not just in this thread, but other threads as well.

Is that what I said? No, and attempting to paint it as such only displays your idiocy.

Israel has every right to defend itself. I, however, don't believe that that defense gives it a right to launch an attack knowing full well it will cause the incidental loss of civilian life and infrastructure.

I don't agree with the existence of religious states, whether they're Muslim, Jewish, or anything else. It pisses me off when the United States runs interference for religious states and monarchies. That's not what our country should be about. I'd be much less interested in what's going on in Israel if it were not for our role as an enabler for their policies.

How the heck can Israel defend itself then? You say they can, just as long as they don't kill civillians? Even though Hamas is firing rockets from said civillians' backyard? What the heck kind of "you can defend yourself" is that?

The responsibility for that lies with Hamas terrorists, who hide - on purpose - between schools, hospitals and other civilian infrastructure.

I think it is reasonable for Israel to launch an attack that they know will cause incidental loss of civilian life, though I wouldn't characterize it as committing a wrong. They can only fight Hamas where Hamas is. That is WHY it is wrong for Hamas to fire Rockets from civilian areas. If Hamas had their weapons and troops in military bases and Israel still kept bombing residential areas, then it would be both wrong and unreasonable.

Well when Interior Minister eli yishai says:

It doesn't really seem like it would matter where they were firing from.

    exactly.

The Gazans are the cowards who are inflicting pain among their own by hiding in and firing rockets from civilian areas

There will never be true peace in middle east in my opion. Israel can do what it pleases as long as it is the most powerful country in the region and have the support of the most powerful country in the world.

Arabs will remember the lesson today and one can guess the fate of Israel maybe 500 or 1000 years down the line when these conditions are no longer true. things always go in cycles.

I do not have faith in humanity as it exist today.

It's what you deserve. Your posts are dumb, whether they are in the GARM or the D&D.

Terrorists are terrorists, not freedom fighters.

It is really hard to believe so many are supporting Hamas and their terrorist actions. That can only come from blind anti-Semitic hating anything to do with Israel.
