"We need Kenny back. This team stinks. We need KT, he brings it defensively and gives us an offensive option." One game later... "Kenny stinks. He's greedy, trade him, he's only thinking about his contract. Look at all those bone-headed plays."
Ya know it's funny, I was watching the game when KT came in and remember saying.... Good to see you back man. Then the play. I jumped up and screamed," CMON, PASS HIM(Yao) THE FRIGGIN' BALL''. I think what pissed me off most about that play was Yao had his man sealed off very low in the post, probably the lowest he achieved all night. Also, it seemed that there wasn't anyone else close enough at the time to double team Yao quickly. But you know what? A couple of minutes after that, Kenny drove down the middle, did his little 360 spin move to the left, and hit a cutting Yao with an excellent pass about 3 ft from the rim(can't remember if he scored or not). That was a great play. I haven't read the box score from this game so I don't know his stats but you know something? We are a better team when Kenny plays(tonight included). He is one of only 3 finishers we have on this team(Steve, Cat). He is our ONLY big man that goes TO the rim. Eddie shoots jumpers. Mo shoots jumpers. Yao shoots jumpers(though after tonight I'm more hopeful that he will diversify). When he GOES to the rim often help will come thus freeing up teamates for rebounds(When was the last time you saw Eddie or Mo doubled?). Kenny is our best big man defender(one on one). I actually feel that Yao and Kenny could play quite well together with a little practice. I think most people saw that one play and just got totally pissed at KT(I know I did) and were down on him for the rest of the night. Sure that one play was a blatant disregard for a teamate but let's give him a few games to gel with Yao before we run him out of town, Mkay? Heck, he might have thought that was Collier posting up.
He was rusty and playing with a bad thumb. That makes it hard to grasp the ball and shoot. Give him a game or two to get back in it...
Yeah, cause as I remember it, those guards would almost never pass him the ball, but just jack up shots from the outside, or try and break down there man and get to the rim, irrespective of what kind of position Yao Ming had....phew!...good thing he doesn't have to play with those kind of guards anymore.........
I just spent days reading multiple threads about how horrible they are. This thread is about how bad KT was/is. Several other threads are about how bad Cat, Steve, Mooch, and EG are playing. Let's fire Rudy... I think we all need to give it some more time. We are 2-1 and seeing the results of the early season adjustments and injuries. Each game has gotten a little better. There are a lot of teams struggling right now, especially offensively. The zone defenses are much better this year including ours. It is tougher to score quickly. That's partly why you saw the dribbling at first. The spacing was much better last night. Two weeks from now there will be threads about how great KT looked... And I'm sure somebody else will suck at that point. Like wiping your ass with a wagon wheel, same ole **** keeps comin' around...
It's definitely too early to tell, but this is exactly what I feared. Listen, for HIS sake, trade him. If not for his sake, for OUR sake. It's best forboth parties if he's traded.
While i agree that it is too early to tell, this is a problem on the horizon...once Mo returns, the pt question, not to mention shot distribution, will be bubbling on the front burner. Trying to get minutes for Mo, Eddie, Rice, KT, Mo-T, and Nachbar, and satisfy both their egos and what is best for the future of this team will be a huge problem. In my opinion, KT is the logical one to go...
First time on the floor did'nt practice with the rosters for several days due to fractured or injured thumb and you expect him 100%!You got to be kidding me! He will come around, besides he did'nt cost us a game, thank God for that. But all I know, he is the most versatile player among the roster with a heart to win. Won't trade him for anyone or anybody! Cut down a bit on the double espresso!!
Pay no attention to the bandwagoner fans They jump from ship to ship like rats KT may have had a down night but he will have more good to bad. . . last year it ws KT HATES GRIFFEN no it is KT HATES YAO next game KT WILL HATE BOKI just shrug it off. . . if you let them say it . . everyone on the team will be were HE HATE ME Jerseys point at KT BEWARE OF THE STAT WATCHING FANTASY BASKETBALL MINDED FANS!!! BTW - was KT at SF or PF? Rocket River . . . uhm. .. we *did* win right
KT is a blackhole. He thinks he can make these twisting, acrobatic layups while ignoring an open man.
Most of the posts are not unhappy with K.T.'s performance as a whole. However, a number of BBS members (like me) were incredulous -- and exasperated -- that K.T. did not pass to Yao when the latter was wide open and deep in the paint. I hope we can sign and keep K.T., but I also hope he reads this thread to prevent errors like that. Just because we want him to be cognizant of his error does not mean we do not like, or appreciate, his "game."
