"...an offer by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to give peaceful protesters buttons and shopping discounts." Shopping discounts? Ha ha ha ha. How classically Republican. Seriously though, it's just your average protest. No one ever accused New Yorkers of being tactful. You want a TRULY ugly protest, invite the WTO to town...
someone should ask this policeman how beautiful the protestors are: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archive/2004/08/30/politics0257EDT0436.DTL -- Police are bracing for more confrontations with protesters after a violent march to Madison Square Garden in which a plainclothes detective was pushed from his scooter and pummeled by a protester, witnesses and authorities said. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly called it "a blatant, vicious attack" on detective William Sample, who was briefly knocked unconscious Monday and was hospitalized with head injuries that were not life-threatening. His assailant was being sought by police.
Of course his motiviation was an intense hatred for the government. http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial9/mcveigh/ I'm not sure those you mentioned ever said they killed in the name of anything political.
OK, but how does that make him an extreme conservative? Didn't he hate all government? To me, a "wacko" murderer doesn't have a political affiliation. Take it down a notch. Our extremists are McVeigh sympathizers, maybe. I personally don't ever consider the KKK conservatives, but I'm sure some do. I guess I've rarely, if ever seen an extreme republican do these crazy things at a Democratic rally. That, to me, would be an equal footing.
Yeah, but to my knowledge, no left wing nutjobs in America have ever done anything approaching bombing an abortion clinic or killing a doctor. Maybe I am mistaken, but none come to mind. I think it would behoove us to remember that over a half million people have protested since Sunday and only a TINY percentage are causing problems.
You're really on the racist kick of late, huh? Please tell me the last time a Republican hung a black person by his neck from a tree. I can't wait to hear your response. Ironically, the lynchings from the 1800s and early 1900s were almost exlcusively done by racist democrats.
They became Republiklans in the mid-sixties when Democrat LBJ passed the civil rights legislation. NIce try though
no this is what i call a republican! http://www.thenationaldebate.com/blog/archives/2004/08/rncnyc_day_two.html
The funny part is: I like Kerry. I like Dean. I dislike Hilary. I think Moore is a blithering idiot. I agree with a lot of liberal views. I just agree with the conservative's more.
There is a piece of advertising for you. Good to see that Bush is running on his own record of achievements, and keeping the campaign issue oriented.
The idea of assigning murderers to one party or another is a tad beyond ridiculous. Blowing people up doesn't qualify you to represent anyone. That said, I find the perception of McVeigh and the Unabomber interesting. Both are anarchists, yet one is considered far left and the other far right. What is the essential difference between these two that puts them on opposite ends of the spectrum?
And neither do idiots who do some of the things the protesters in NYC are doing. Thanks for getting my point.
No neither one of our whackos represent the majority of either side. Too bad most people can't understand this, and appealing to this idiotic sentiment is exactly what's led this country to where it is now.
I did not know liberal was as that bad of a word. I think republicans have embraced the conservative term, what happened to the word "liberal" that strikes such a cord with you from this ad?
