Chuck Hayes shoots so bad that he's only attempted one jump shot all season, and I about died laughing at how silly it looked.
I gotta put it out there that Big Jake should be in this too, based on the one jump shot I've seen him take. It looked like he was throwing it into the net. ...It did hit nothing but net though, gotta give him that.
This thread must have been started with Marion in mind. Just because the Matrix shoots at such a high percentage (as Hubie Brown would say), my vote goes to Stromile Swift.
If we had short videos of everyone mentioned so far and watched them all, Cambys' jumpshot would win in a blowout. I don't know if "ugly" is the word for it, but Kevin Martin has a weird looking stroke. Michael Redd does too. Luther's sidewinder delivery is 2nd to Chuck's on the Rockets. Bob Sura's set shot doesn't look like it belongs in the NBA.
Did u guys forget Anthony Mason's freethrows????? That thing used to have me rollin, and Bo "shades" outlaw had an ugly release as well
Barbosa and Chris Webber both have this weird shot that has like zero elbow in it -- they just extend their arms full length. But seriously ... in terms of shot ugliness it goes like this: 1. Chuck Hayes. The hitch of all hitches. I mean, this guy needs to learn how to shoot all over again. It's amazing how he's so effective in spite of it. 2. Josh Childress. His shot is so ugly, something inside me dies every time I see it. 3. Shawn Marion. Incredibly low release, way too much follow through. U-G-L-Y. Works for him. I just can't put him above Childress or Hayes -- certainly not above Childress. Seriously. I feel depressed just thinking about Josh Childress's jumpshot. Someone stop me -- I think I'm gonna go jump out the window. Honorable mention - Marcus Camby. Probably has a lot to do with his long arms ... it's like it starts from about 3 feet behind his head.
Barbosa's shot isn't so bad, and Acie Law's shot is nice. Shawn Marion gotta be one of the top 2 worst shots in the NBA.
