"He's been captured and he's held in one of our cells," investigative police commissioner Marcos Chavez said. Local Globovision news channel said Urbina was held on attempted murder charges, but Chavez would not confirm the charges in the case. Urbina, a Venezuelan native, has denied charges by the workers at his ranch near Caracas that he assaulted them after a party on the property last month. A star relief pitcher for the 2003 World Series champion Florida Marlins, Urbina is one of dozens of Venezuelans playing professional baseball in the United States. His attorney said he was arrested on Monday night at his home.
