If all the UFO reports are just .001% true, it doesn't look like they care about wiping us off, at least not yet. Chance of planets with similar make up to earth is estmiated to be 10s to 100s of millions in milky way alone, I would say pretty good chance there are life forms on those some where.
I have no idea if that's true or not. I'd have to answer: "not enough information." I've never seen the inanimate turn to life before. I have no idea how common or uncommon it is elsewhere.
UFO's as in comets, asteroids, swamp gas, reflected light in the atmosphere, celestial anomalies, aurora borealis effects, condors at 20,000', volcanic expulsions, unusual cloud formations; that kind of stuff? Sure, anything that can't be explained by the current understanding of the day is usually attributed to magic. There was an interesting show on one of the nerd channels this week about how priests used technology the common people didn't understand like maganatism and hydraulic pressure to convive the people that their religion was powerful.
I know I am going to get dumb tin-foil hat joke, but here it goes: If you see UFO crash one day, and look at the debris and see English, Mandarin Chinese, or Russian letters don't be surprised.
I'm saying our government has been experimenting and trying to build hovercrafts since the early 40s...while Britain and Russian started in the late 30s. Most unsuccessful or never made it past the drawing board and even cancelled most of the projects....but I imagine they are quite capable of building such vehicle. Avro Avocar Vought Aircrafts (Charles Zimmerman) British Rail Flying Saucers M200GVolantor People even thought (mistakenly) the modern day steath bombers were UFOs ex. F-117 Nighthawk. I think it is very possible to build UFO (flying saucers), it wouldn't be totally shock if I saw one flying over or near military base or even some field somewhere. I would be skeptical about the alien cliams.
i thought you might mean this...i agree. it seems that most of these sightings take place near air force bases.
The real question is, if we find aliens on another planet, and see that they are way behind us technologically, do we interfere? If they have oil, is someone going to inflict mass murder on them with the excuse of spreading democracy in their authoritative land? What if we land there and see that of the major religions, only one of them exists and is identical to our versions? I'm very interested in finding out who's the most technologically advanced. If we are not, we would have been exploited by now.
I saw a Nova special about flying saucers awhile ago. Apparently the Nazis had a fairly advanced flying saucer program and both the US and the Soviets captured some of the Nazi scientists in an attempt to build our own flying saucers. The technical idea behind a flying saucer is pretty interesting. The whole disk would be a essentially a large jet engine that would provide a lot of lift and be highly manuevearble.
First off we are able to get to another planet to find the aliens I doubt we will be using fossil fuel to power us there.
You don't? No, most just act like these fables are already are proved. Which is worse and even more entertaining.
Let's say you really parted the sea by using force field (how much power would that take!!) The bottom of the ocean is not smooth is it? How do you navigate all the rock, up slope down slope etc?
