Really wish Saffiedine had been able to fight. Voelker looks severely outclassed against Lawler right now.
McDonald Vs Ellenberger was a big disappointment. I expected much more action. Looked like a St. Pierre fight, being safe, technical, not taking many chances but effective enough to win. The thing I've always liked about RM is his killer instinct, he didn't show it tonight. Johnson is a Hell of a fighter, he looked good tonight. I didn't get the feeling that he ever really hurt Moraga up until the sub, but he was dominant throughout.
Damn what a letdown co-main event. I think it was more hyped than the actual main event title fight. Also didn't care much for the main event. Demetrius is talented but I just don't care as much to watch (although I always will) flyweights when the division consist of only 5 guys. Damn this must've been a devastating night for that hometown Chiesa kid. Almost finished a higher profile fighter in the first round with a good TKO finish but instead tap out to a choke with 1 second left in the 2nd round. He looked crushed running out the cage immediately after.
I actually agree with you there. Really enjoyed the Lawlor fight. Not so much because it was the most entertaining of the night, but because it was nice to see Lawler fighting at a level many of us knew he was capable of. That's 2 strong showings since he joined ATT. Hope he keeps it up.
