I loved the show too. I thought the ref should have stopped the fight. Abe lost way too much blood. I cant wait for next week!
Great fights on Fight Night tonight, and a decent first show for The Ultimate Fighter's new series. UFC came through again. Great TV tonight to fill the gap of Rockets and Texans games.
I was shocked the fight wasn't stopped in the first round with how much blood was just pouring out. Fight was pretty boring though, little guy didn't seem to have much of a ground game for someone who was considered the best wrestler of the bunch.
The fight was completely one-sided and 9/10's of the fight was spent on the ground with the smaller guy dominating Abe up against the octagon. But he didn't show much of a ground game? He had him in nearly perfect position the entire fight and Abe came out of it completely........ bloody? I'm not even sure that's the word for it, but we'll go with it. My point is, Abe didn't give him much reason to show any in-depth wrestling skills due to his complete lack of a ground game. Smaller guy did exactly what he should for the entire match.
If whatever rashad and rampage were saying was true, then abe had better standup, weak wrestling but was trained in jui jitsu. Mike(?) was a collegiate wrestler but what can that do as far as getting a submission? His skill was seen in staying in a dominating position for 90% of the match against a taller opponent. I dont know much about Kimbo but he came off as both likeable and not a dumbass.
