He's too old and too fat to do this. Even at his best, Toney was never a big puncher and depended on upper body movement...he's going to get taken down and it won't be pretty. His only hope is actually get in shape and cut to 205 or fight complete stiffs.

While I agree about the old and fat part I'd disagree about Toney not being a big puncher. You don't accrue 44 knockouts and get the nickname "lights out" for no reason.

Well he wasn't as big a puncher at HW, which is where his old and fat self is now....of course a fat, 48-year old, terminally ill Ray Mercer KO'd Tim Sylvia so who knows.

I don't think his fight style translates to MMA well. He is old, slow and was never particularly athletic. His best skills were keeping his chin tucked behind his shoulder and moving his upper body around. He fought like he was standing in a bucket of cement.

Having said all that, his chin can take any punch a UFC guy can throw and his punching power is probably much more powerful than what these UFC guys are used to.

I'd love to see him and Roy Miller in the octagon. Winner will be the guy that uses his beer belly to his advantage the most.

Not even one fight in but he's already the best striker in UFC.

strong rumors that it might be this man to fight toney

ufc pulled the mitrione v kimbo fight off their site. usually when that happens it means the card has changed. plus toney's manager said he wants toney v kimbo. it would be a huge ppv event imo.

I was just coming in here to say Kimbo vs. Toney and honestly it would be a pretty interesting fight.
