Yup, I don't think Toney took this fight seriously. He came out of shape and I don't know how much he effort he put in his take down defense. I think he really thought he could come in there and knock Randy out.
i agree, which is odd, figure his trainers would try to push him. what a waste of 9 months of training and time
BJ always looks so sad to me. Like he might start crying or something. Pulling for him in this fight though.
I find it difficult to like BJ Penn sometimes even though I've always liked the guy. Sometimes he comes off as an ass or a sore loser. I'm hoping he wins here and my gut instinct is he will. I hope he's back to dominating form.
Which Penn are we gonna see? Always been a fan, he's nasty, but hate his work ethic. If this goes deep it could go to Edgar.
I'm predicting BJ Penn by TKO or submission. Hes going to be more aggressive and take down Edgar, utilizing both gnp and being more active on his feet. I'm guessing BJ finishs the fight by the 3 rd. Though BJ lost, I personally thought the first fight could've gone either way. The main reason he lost was, lack of aggression, focus and urgency, all of which Im guessing BJ will have in spades this time around.
I agree. It looks like he gives up if he doesn't land shots in the early rounds, then just lays back.
Sad. His conditioning sucks. He knows he's skilled and thinks he's gonna coast. He really needs to change some things or the sport is gonna pass him by. He's far to skilled a fighter to be in the position he's put himself in.
