basically carwin gets 40k to show up.... he MAY get an additional 40k IF he wins he MAY get an additional 40/20k for fight of the night/tko, sub of the night etc. he also will get an undisclosed amount from his various sponsors... he has no backend ppv share. Lesnar on the other hand gets 400k to show up + ppv share and MAY get an additional 200k for FON as well as undisclosed bonuses for tko/sub of night. Estimates have lesnar making anywhere from 1mil-5mil on ppv bonuses. good thing Carwin has a full time job asides from the UFC... i hope that job came with a good health insurance.
More reason for Carwin to try and punk Lesnar. He can make a huge name for himself and get himself a fat raise if he does so.

Not a fan of Lesnar, but he is a monster sort of like Tyson was in boxing. He can be beat, but not likely. He looks in fantastic shape; HOWEVER, a life threatening illness can take alot out of you, so stamina could be an issue. Lesnar must out wrestle Carwin. If he does that, I like his chances.
It's stories like this that make me die laughing when MMA junkies claim there are guys in the sport who could be top level boxers if they wanted to. Yeah, their love of MMA is worth making chump change compared to what they would make boxing.
Blah isn't informed at all.. 40/20k for fotn or ko of the night.. really?? this ppv will atleast have a 65k fotn or ko of the night bonus.. atleast if not more. Also it is well known that fighters are paid an 'undisclosed' amount in the locker rooms. Many fighters have stated they have received 200k. Carwin is going to be well paid for this.. I'm sure he banks atleast 250k-500k without the fotn/ko included. but your right, even then its nowhere near boxing Check this interview at the 4minute mark on when Dana is asked 'do you think carwins agent did a good job negotiating a 40k to show 40k to win' http://watch.tsn.ca/off-the-record/off-the-record---june-24/#clip317955 Dana laughs and responds that 'dont worry, believe me when i tell you that Carwin is going to make ALLLOOTT of money on this fight'
Am I the only one here that thinks Lesnar has mellowed out a lot since he returned from his illness? He seems a lot calmer, not trying to get into a war of words and just itching to get to the ring and do his business.
During the pre-fight press conference he mentioned how grateful he feels just to be alive and that he is in a really good place right now.
After going through some similar medical issues I can tell you that once you feel like yourself again every day truly feels like a gift. I think Lesnar is going to be more of a beast than ever in the fight tonight but he has certainly become more humble outside of the octagon.
White is hilarious - 'the heavyweight division is stacked.' You have a 4-1 ex-pro wrestler who lost his first fight then won the HW championship at what 3-1 vs. an ancient Couture who was outweighed by about 50 pounds. 'Big Country is waiting in the wings' -- oh wonderful, I can't wait to see this fat slob fight for a championship. The UFC HW division is paper thin and will remain that way until the powers that be work out some sort of co-promotion and White starts paying his fighters.
Lesnar Carwin Cain JDS Mir Nog Fat Country- Slob or not he can still fight Maybe not stacked but surely not paper thin.
Repped. Brock Carwin Cain JDS then who.... Roy Nelson as you stated is a fat slob laying on nobodys.... Randy Couture is fighting James Tony next...WTF? Nog? washed up Mir? destroyed by Lesnar and Carwin Cro Cop? old and fights scrubs... Even though Fedor lost....he could regain his p4p best status by coming in and taking down some of dana's "top heavyweights"....which I believe he could.
Let's hope strikeforce figures out a way to have an immediate rematch and Fedor dominates completely then comes over to the UFC or there is some sort of co-promotion.
Roy Nelson - Ultimate Fighter winner with back to back highlight reel knockouts..over yeah.. nobodies. Actually Struve has only lost to JDS in the UFC so he's not all that terrible. Randy is overrated and I know alot of people are going to get on my case about this. I thought he lost against Vera. Nog might be washed up.
Like Dana did with Shogun and Machida..... .. Strikeforce will crumble without Fedor....and with Jake Sheilds leaving for the UFC...
