I know there was a thread about chuck getting ripped, but I figured the whole card needed its own thread.

    MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view)

    •Chuck Liddell vs. Rich Franklin
•Patrick Barry vs. Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic
    •Martin Kampmann vs. Paulo Thiago
    •Ben Rothwell vs. Gilbert Yvel
    •Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald
    PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)

    •Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman
    •Evan Dunham vs. Tyson Griffin
    PRELIMINARY CARD (Not televised)
    •David Loiseau vs. Mario Miranda
    •Peter Sobotta vs. James Wilks
    •Ricardo Funch vs. Claude Patrick
    •Jesse Lennox vs. Mike Pyle

    .....

If Chuck loses, He retires IMO....but I think he gets a 1st round KO victory.

Cro Cop and Barry will be a stand up brawl....cant wait for that one.

    Stick around for Links.

This is a weak ass card. So was Rampage vs. Evans outside of the main event. Franklin and will never make it to the top and Liddell will never make it back to the top. This should be a free event.

Definitely agree, can't see many people ponying up $50 for this one. Even though both fighters will never be relevant in their respective divisions again, I think this fight will end up being more exciting than Rampage/Evans. Whoever wins this fight will probably be by KO.

The cards that look ****ty on paper usually put on the most entertaining shows.

Props to Liddel for at least working himself into the best shape of his life.

Regardless of the fighters on this card, it can't be any less entertaining than the last one, can it?

I'm anxious to see if Chuck has anything left, and am glad he apparently took his training as serious as stated. Chuck has much to prove if he wants to keep fighting IMO? You know Rich F put in the work to be his best.
So you never know, could be a good one.

For some reason I'm just thinking this card will be better than it looks to be on paper.

I think the cards would be better if the UFC cut the amount of events in half, a more quality over quantity approach. The last one was only a few weeks ago, and that one looked alot like tonight's card..the main event being the only real attraction, surrounded by a bunch of less than marquee names making up the rest. If they had condensed UFC 114 with UFC 115 we could have had Rampage vs Rashad as the main event, Franklin/Liddell as the co-main event..which would have given fans two truly really appealing fights to look forward too. I know the UFC won't do this because they are still selling PPV's regardless but it would eliminate Dana being embarassed how some of these events are turning out.

That being said, I think Franklin takes this one by decision. He's a more well rounded fighter, who will really take advantage of his strong leg kicks to chop down Chuck's legs and score points. Liddell is just past his prime and a long lay off won't help his situation.

I dunno, usually the best fights are going to be on the undercard, with guys who are going for fight of the night, since the bonus is going to basically double or triple their payout, while the Main Event guys are just trying to win and not get hurt, or don't lose too badly.
