Gonna play at a local 2vs2 FIFA 16 EURO championship today, will update teh brehs on who wins. Teams will be drawn randomly, so let's hope I don't end up with North Ireland.
All our options at the wings suck, unfortunately. Hope Jogi doesn't try the four central defenders thing again, we looked like crap at the world cup.
Ireland --------------------Randolph--------------------- Coleman------Keogh-----O'Shea----Brady--------- Walters-------Whelan-------McCarthy-----Hendrick ------------------Hoolahan----------------------- ----------------Shane Long----------------------- Wales -------------------Hennessy----------------------- Gunter------Chester-----Williams-----Davies----Taylor -----Ramsay-------King-------Allen----------------- -----------Bale----------Robson-Kanu---------------
Tried to come up with all my expertise for Wales : -------------------???----------------------- ???------???-----???-----???----??? -----???-------???-------???----------------- -----------Bale (does he play that position for Wales????------???---------------
Probably also ok. Just saw that projected lineup with 2 wingers and without a central man. Sometimes they played Robson-Kanu at the center. ------Bale-------Ramsey------ ---------RobsonKanu-----
I'm all-in for Gomez. He's got something to prove and I'm not talking about a big contract. Looking at the last matches, our team needs a natural scorer.
I like Mario, he's a good guy. But I can keep the ball up on the beach longer than he can... He should definitely get his minutes. It's a pretty long tournament. I'm sure he will score some goals.
It ended up in a debacle as me and teh partner had to play with the worst out of the 16 teams, Sweden. But hey, Germany won the Euro Final vs. Portugal, with France taking 3rd, Spain 4th. Pretty realistic results.
Edit: The final actually ended up in a pentalty shootout, with Ronaldo missing the 5th and Portugal losing. The accuracy is stunning.
By the way, the Netherlands beat two ambitioned Entrants in Poland and Austria this week. I'll never understand how they could fail versus Iceland, Turkey and Czech Republic.
They need a new manager and a whole new coaching staff that can motivate the team. JBB would have been perfect.
Germany defender Antonio Rüdiger is out with a torn ACL. Löw replaces him with Jonathan Tah. Feel bad for Rüdiger, since he's better than most people and media think. On the other hand, Tah is a huge talent that can defend the wing pretty well. What do you guys think? Mustafi as a starter now as long as Hummels is recovering?
I missed the game vs. Hungary, seems Höwedes started at RB. That would indeed lead to Mustafi starting, as Raz said. Only other choices are a) Can at RB with Höwedes as central back or b) Mustafi+Boateng+Höwedes as three central defenders and then Hector+Kimmich as defensive wings.
Feel bad for Rudiger but I'm a huge fan of Tah. Hopefully being involved with the national team only spurs him to perform even better so he can push out some of the older players in the run up to 2018.
