Who is going to watch the final?

I say portugal would win it all.
And Pauleta is going to score a goal.

move over Denmark and make room for greece,80 to 1 longshots to win it all. Not only beating the best teams in Europe but beating Portugal at home. There probably breaking their best china in Athens and singing the saddest fado in Lisbon.
    Congrats to Greece.

it is unbelievable. They beat portugal twice and they have beaten the defending champions (France)and the best team in the tournament(czecks) so they deserve this championship. congratulations Greece

    Rehhagel quiet over future

    By Phil McNulty
    Chief football writer in Lisbon

Otto Rehhagel refused to discuss his future after the German coach led Greece to Euro 2004 glory against Portugal in Lisbon.

The 65-year-old is at the centre of a growing campaign in Germany to succeed Rudi Voeller as national coach.

But Rehhagel said after his outsiders won 1-0: "Now is the time for the team. I only have to take care of my team.

"We will go to the hotel and celebrate this victory. There is no place for other words."

Rehhagel also revealed how he had shown faith in match-winner Angelos Charisteas, who has failed to win a regular place with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

He stated: "He is one of the players of the tournament. I have trusted him from the beginning.

"Perhaps it was right he did not play at Werder Bremen. Maybe here he knew the competition for places wasn't that strong, so I counted on him and we have seen the results."

Leicester City defender Nikos Dabizas paid tribute to the role Rehhagel played in transforming Greece from makeweights to champions.

Greece squad member Dabizas said: "He has a different mentality.

The important thing now is to maintain this level

    Greece defender Nikos Dabizas

"He changed the way we played, he showed us the importance of defensive play as well as making use of the chances that came our way.

"He may have been criticised for his defensive tactics but he has proved what a great coach he is because he is a winner."

Dabizas is also aware that Greece must now build on their new-found stauts, beginning with their campaign to qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Greece face Denmark, Turkey and Ukraine in their group and Dabizas said: "The important thing now is to maintain this level.

"We are in a difficult group for the World Cup qualifying stages but we want to go to Germany and play against the best teams."

"I believe we have the right ingredients to produce the same results that we have done in Portugal."

Congrats to Greece...Portugal didn't play very well and was due to the greeks. Wow what a miracle...First I thought France would beat them 2-0, then I said no way they can beat the Czecks who have been the best so far in the tourney, and now they beat Portugal again at home!!! This is amazing and great!!! They are like the Patriots who beat the Rams a few years back, a complete team who plays with strict discipline and sacrifice. Holland can learn alot from them, I am still pissed by the way:mad:

By the way, anyone here play soccer in a league or just for fun?

Since the Tourney is over I am having world class soccer withdrawal. I've been watching the games for a month now and now have to wait til the World series of soccer comes on later this month which is not the same i may add. Who had the best goal of the tourney? Here are my top 3:
    1. Maniche's shot that curved in against Holland
    2. Laarson's header goal against Bulgaria
    3. Rui Costa's goal against England in the Qtr Finals
