Hot Dutch girls do not watch soccer, or atleast they do not go to soccer games. So sorry you will never see beautiful dutch girls by watching soccer. The only way to see them is to be in holland:D

I can't find it anywhere now, but I'm 100% certain I read that Advocaat said he actually had the list of WHO would shoot WAY before the championship started. Can anyone else try to find this? I'm very sure I read it.

Anway, big game coming up, Holland - Portugal.

I think it's going to be a great game, but Advocaat is going to have to be smart about it. Scolari WILL shut down the wingers, just as he did with Spain.

He'll need to either bring in another striker or add another central midfielder.

Can ANYONE take care of Cristiano Ronaldo? I wish they had Ashley Cole.

And I saw the interviews with several Dutch players who explicitly stated that they did not practice penalties or had a list. By the way, how would Robben and Makaay have taken the penalties if they had gone by your imaginary list...it was not even clear they would play at all...

i do not think Ronaldo is such a great player, i think Robben is much better. The problem with holland is that they do not have a good defense. if overmars and robben play portugal will not be able to control the wings.

About that list. There was alot of talk about the fact that advocaat didn't practice penaltys at all. and that he didn't know who would take them, so there was no list. the only thing he said was that if van hooidonck and makaay were on the field both would take a penalty. because they both are penalty specialist. maybe that is why you thought there was a list. The journalist are all over advocaat because he didn't had a list. ofcourse now that we have won a penalty serie they will complain less.

Advocaat was destroyed by the dutch media because of the way he coached this tournament. now taht we are in the semi's the media is less agressive towards him.

i believe holland is better then Portugal. But i think the czecks are the best. But who nows maybe holland will play good against them. to bad we are in the same poule with them for the qualifier for the WC

    Portugal is going to win.
Figo is going to be eager for the game.
Ronaldo is going to be very effective against the dutch defense.

and most importantly they would have the home crowd behind them. So they would have energy and would play very hard.

Besides, I predict Portugal to win from the beginning, I have to stick with them :D

    What a terrible game #%%$$%&^#$^^&*#$%#&#%$!!!!
how in the world can we lose to portugal. i hope the czecks will win it all.

Holland didn't play 1 good game this tournament.

Seedorf is one of the worst soccer players in the world. He is so slow in ballhandling.

Advocaat still has strange substitution, he should have changed seedorf instead of overmars after one half.

Portugal was a better team today. but still it sucks

I agree, I thought Overmars was very active, and I was surprised by how much faster he was than the player he was matched up with. Advocaat has loser written all over him...

I was so depressed I am only now coming on to post. Their arrogance did them in. How can you come out and play so poorly with no enthusiasm for the BIGGEST game of your life!!!! Advocaat messed up, why take out overmaars when Seedorf was horrible!!!

Did I mention that Greece has a great coach? ;)

I don't think it has ever happened at any major tournament that the opening match was exactly the same as the final...

Portugal will have the whole stadium behind them...but...if Greece plays with as much discipline as they have been playing throughout the tournament - everything is possible.

That German coach Greece has once led a team that had just been promoted from the 2nd division to the championship...that is comparable to the Bobcats being the NBA champion next season - unheard of. He is a great motivator, actually a year older than Karel Brückner, the Czech coach, who looks 20 years older...

i dont' get it, no one except me likes portugal here???

Even though they lost to greece in the first match, they looked very good against greece after they had sub in guys like c. ronaldo and deco. The portugal defense has also been very solid.

I think portugal is going to beat greece this time around.

kauzerslautern (i forgot how you write it). he is a great coach. it is kinda like guus hiddink did with south korea:D

before the tournament began i said that i woudn't mind it if portugal won it al. but now that they have beat holland in the semi's i'm gonna root for greece, sorry. I do not like ronaldo i think he is irritating, and i do not like ricardo, he is a show off.
I do like Figo and Deco. and most other players of portugal. But i would find it very funny if greece wins.

Well as I am sure you can figure out based on all my posts in this thread, the Greece victory was absolutely huge for me. :D That was an amazing match and I am so happy for the Greek team. As many have said, a lot of the success of Greece is attributable to the coaching and tactics of Rehagel. He has been brilliant for the Greeks and he is a national hero. That is not to say that the players should not be given credit either, because they have performed amazingly on the field and have delivered in the clutch.

Before the tournament started I knew that the Greeks were much better than they were being given credit for after an undefeated qualifying campaign, but getting to the finals was beyonf my wildest dreams. I thought that they could surprise a few people and make it to the quarterfinals, but I honestly didn't expect much past that. So this has obviously been a surprise, even for those few of us who were pulling for them before the tourney even started.

I just wish them the best of luck in the final and only wish that i was going to be in Greece this week to enjoy the celebrations, rather than next week when i return there. :(

By the way, is Live Sports Cafe still showing the tournament without a cover charge? If not, is there some other place that is showing it without a cover? Thanks.
