Messi with another hat trick.. 42 goals in Champs League good enough for #9 on the list. Not bad for a 24 year old.
Posted in the wrong thread, was kinda confused yesterday. Glad that Dortmund won, they keep the slight chance to advance or at at least make it to EL. Disappointed with Leverkusen, thoguht they'd at least pull a draw vs. Valencia. Guess the early goal killed their game plan. Incredible performance by Messi, the guy is a beast and lock for ballon d'or again.
First half was Barca esque, really enjoyed it. Boateng and Badstuber had some bad situations and their fouls were pretty dumb. Yesterday also pointed out that van Buyten is a liability when defending free kicks or corners, he barely clears the situations. Want Heynckes to get Rafinha back in the lineup with Boateng moving to central defense. Sad to see that Schweinsteiger will be out for probably the rest of 2011, important that we already lead Bundesliga and secured a spot to advance in CL(99.9%). Am looking forward to seeing what lineup Heynckes will rely on for the next weeks, I don't see Gustavo and Tymo playing together(not enough offense). Think Kroos will move to 6 and side with Gustavo/Tymo, Alaba will move to offense mid.
Agree with your post. Van Buyten needs to go to the bench. I wouldn't extend his contract, either. Alaba should play now.
You got the same mail-address still? Sent you two mails like two weeks ago and didn't get a reply. Thought the CF feature didn't work so I sent the 2nd one straight to your email.
Losing Bender and Götze was too much of a blow for Dortmund. I am really disappointed with their showings in the Champions League this season. At least Leverkusen won against Chelsea.
I also expected more of Dortmund. I'm happy Ajax will probably proceed to the next round. Lyon was worse than i thought.
I wonder if Arsenal's good run of form will stop them from pursuing a big name like Gotze in the January transfer window. Gervinho has been disappointing with his finishing, and I feel they are overachieving at the moment due to RVP. Van Persie is unconscious. He fits like a glove into what Arsene is trying to do. Nice to see him stay injury free for a while and show he's in a class of his own. Chelsea are inconsistent and don't look very cohesive at the moment. How much of that has to do with the aging players and what role Villa-Boas plays in it... I'm not sure.
Maybe Arsenal fans can attest to this but RVP has been overachieving for the past couple of seasons on that weak(relative to an epl title side) Gunners team, and unfortunately for him, not too many have paid attention to his form.(Pre and post injury the past couple of seasons). It's not so much that they need a big name striker but I felt during the transfer window that they should have picked up a striker because I felt Gervinho couldn't be relied on, RVP would get injured at some point, Voyeur doesn't have confidence in Chamakh and Walcott up front and center is not a good idea. I guess they/AW feel confident in the korean, Chu Young.
