I’d be happy with him or Chet. Chet longer and more athletic. Banchero got the more NBA ready body. But both bigs with guard ability
Bingo and these other players mentioned previously, Theo John didn't waste his last year of eligibility as a grad transfer from Marquette as a starter averaging 26 mins a game to not be playing at all at Duke. He will be a rotational player in their front court. Another big addition for Duke happened to be their first addition in the 2021 class - AJ Griffin. The five-star prospect is a tremendous athlete who can function both at the three and four on both ends of the court. Griffin is a terrific talent and as his shooting continues to develop, Coach K will need him bringing a motor and energy to the floor next season as he can impact the game at a high level as a rebounder and defender when he's locked in and engaged. His half-court skillset is still a work in progress but there is no denying the value he can bring to the floor when utilizing his size, length and athleticism with a motor and energy. The second notable addition is Theo John, a grad transfer out of Marquette who averaged eight points, five rebounds and 1.5 blocks this past season. The transfer big man reinforces and bolsters their front court but more importantly brings needed experience to their roster.
Not yet. he's doing one last farewell tour this season. He couldn't call it quits after the abysmal year they just had
Da fvck did this come from??? Health care providers would vehemently disagree with you. Many are flat quitting their jobs because the anti-vaxxers are filling up hospitals again and putting immense pressure on medical industry that is still suffering PTSD and exhaustion from 2020.
Full disclosure: I am unvaccinated. Primarily out of laziness and the fact that I previously had Covid, though I am not anti-vaccine as a creed. Surely you can understand the broken logic you just shared. The media lies, therefore the media is lying about vaccines. The experts lie, therefore the experts are lying about vaccines. There are multiple ways to prove this basket doesn't hold water. Everyone lies. You have to come to rational conclusions based on empirical evidence. You don't just throw sources of information out wholesale. You have to listen to the experts just as much as you listen to your favorite Youtube channel (which, by the way, no one can explain how they choose who to listen to since they won't listen to.... you know.... experts.) The wisest people listen to everything and put the pieces together into a cohesive whole. The fools plug their ears and watch Youtube. As a trained statistician: when we're dealing with epidemiological research, there will always be a minority of cases one way or another. Mask-mandaters point to the minority of severe and fatal covid-19 cases and say our job as a majority is to protect the minority. Anti-maskers point to a minority of cases with "lung-scarring" or whatever anti-mask cases they have and say it's our job to protect freedom. Anti-vaxxers point to a minority of cases with blood clots and say its their job to protect everyone from taking calculated risks. Covid-is-the-fluers point to the fact that a minority of cases experience severe symptoms and say it must be a flu. Very different stances, very different people looking at the very same facts and data but interpreting the minority differently. This is how statistics works. We'll interpret it differently and have differences of opinion. However, when people just willfully ignore facts that don't fit their pre-supposed narrative, and wear cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy like a badge of pride, we can't have a conversation about the actual facts anymore, and have an actual meaningful disagreement about how to interpret them. This is why the internet is broken.
were definitely not going to be in a place to be drafting chet or banchero next year. nice to dream tho
Huh? The rockets are going to be one of the worst teams next year. They could very well be in that place depending on how the lottery plays out
They’re projected to be in that range so it’s actually possible, rather than definitely not like your post said. The 20-25 win range definitely gives them a shot in that position
Why not? We were the worst team in the league last year and our biggest signing was Daniel Theis. Are you that big of a Daniel Theis fan? You can't be thinking these 19 year old kids are going to lead us to victories in their first season. That would be ridiculous. So where do you think these additional wins are going to come from?
Sengun and Green likely to get major minutes and while they are very promising and exciting I see them making plenty of 19 year old rookie mistakes in the NBA. Plus Gordon will get shipped out if he remains healthy, and it is that possible Wall go too. Vegas has the Rockets as one of the worst 3 teams in the league from what I can tell. Just about a lock we return to the lottery. I think their ceiling is 35 wins.
are you projecting that our other young players don't improve at all? KPJ/Tate/KMJ/Wood with additions of Green + Sengun. Gordon will be available and hopefully Wood will stay healthy most of the year. I'm definitely taking the Vegas over.
I still think John Wall on this roster with significant playing time guarantees us a top 8 pick for sure.
How the hell do i sgn up for the fertitta-mcnair school of management. Great post, makes way too much sense for the internet.
I'll bite. The development of Kevin Porter Jr, KJ Martin, JaeSean Tate, Christian Wood, etc. Overall health. And we don't have normal 19-year-olds. Garuba and Sengun in particular are as proven as 19 gets proven. Coach Silas has guys willing to run through a wall for him. This year we will be much more organized than last year.
