85 degrees in direct midday sunlight with high humidity would feel miserable.

So, it's worth mentioning that UH is now charging for parking pretty much anywhere on gameday, even if you have a pass. It's a load of BS and was cited by a few students i talked to as the reason why they didn't show up.

    Definitely worth considering

Really? My friend drove us and he had an expired permit hanging and didn't have to pay because he told them he's a student

Definitely did not feel like 85. Felt like upper 90's, humid, and reflection from the bleachers didn't help either

Then I guess there isn't much hope for UH to fill the stadium on a regular basis, because this is Houston and it is hot here on a frequent basis. Whatever, the excuses are lame in my opinion. Support your team, even in 85+ degree temps.

Announcers said it was hot too and that's unusual to state. So it must have been blazing on the field.

You should probably go back and read the context in which someone brought up the heat. They said that the heat caused the stands to appear empty because everyone was taking refuge under the shade of the concourse. No one suggested the heat kept people home.

Does anyone else remember the Tulane game in 2010?

It was a sellout, but the stands looked more than half empty by halftime because of the sweltering heat. Several people suffered heat stroke. The concessions ran out of water. It was bad.

This might've been the most unbearable game from a heat standpoint that I can remember. The sun angle was unbearable as was the humidity. Lots of people were sitting in whatever shade they could find.

It took about 5 minutes to feel the heat radiating.

Exactly! The sun was burning my entire left side. I've been through crazy and hot weather from all kinds of UH games. I'm the last person to complain about heat, but this sun wasn't having it. I didn't have sunscreen, shades, or a hat either.

I was at the game and yes I did leave at halftime. Before you give me any crap for that, I'm a season ticket holder, I live in Austin, and I have driven in for every game this year and last. I'll accept your judgement if you have come from further and gone to more games, otherwise go in "The Pursuit Of" a big stick to put up your ...

I was hot and miserable. We left and watched the rest of the game at Calhoun's. $6 Beer served by a waitress, shade/AC, TVs and co-eds made it a good choice. Even with the comeback.

All that said, UH has a major problem with attendance. You Houston fans need to show up. If we want to move up to the power 5 we need to demonstrate enough enthusiasm to sell 40,000 seats when we are undefeated and looking for playoff consideration. That said 3 interceptions, two fumbles (recovered), dropped passes, and poor decision making after three consecutive weeks of poor play chased me away. Which does raise the question, what switch was flipped at halftime?

^maybe Case took over as OC and gave them an inspiring halftime speech.

I wasn't gonna give you crap for your first paragraph until I read your third paragraph.

I was at the game the entire time and i could've brought an egg to cook on my neck, perhaps a steak medium rare.

It was disappointing with attendance but especially the students. I'm thinking probably mid terms or everyone is at something wicked..

Nevertheless, good comeback win and hopefully this wakes the team up

An 11 win season with 2 wins over top 10 programs is still possible.

    That'd be a hell of a year.

It would be great! We're not realizing that we are actually doing really well comparing to the last 10 years...Sumlin years were great but we never got really noticed until the undefeated - USM season..Herman's character and the way we've been winning really turned things around and made everyone to expect us to be dominant

It was miserable out there and that was probably the hottest game since we had a 2:30 kickoff against Tulane in September 2010.

Herman said there were only 500 students in attendance vs 5000 for Lamar
